It is my understanding that tips are not included in the Disney Dining Plan any longer. I am not saying you are wrong, but are you sure it says that gratuities are included?
I tip 18% for Table Service meals, DDP or not. That is the custom, and when in Rome ...
This year tips are not included in the dining plan, they were last year but i feel the waiting staff did not need to try to get your 18% as it was already included so you can tip what you feel is appropriate for each service, i normally tip about 20% if efforts was seen and on very few occasions 25% if it was amazing,, but i leave 1p if i am not at all pleased,,
What happens when you ask for a table for 2 is exactly that,, there system tells them theres no availability, there are very few in each restaurant with 2 tables but you will find if you ask for a 3 table you will get seated, thats what i will do this year then say the other person could not make it,, if they put us on a 2 table then fine, no problem,,May'09 - Won tickets to Night at the Museum 2 June'09 - Electric Dreams DVD0 -
Found this web site iihs.org/laws/childrestraint which suggests that only require booster seat etc up to age 3. Aside from a possible personal safely angle, has anyone experience of taking younger kids to Florida (we are taking 5 ,6 12 and 14 year olds....) and car laws0

Only if you've paid for it but don't use it...

Anyone tried Priceline for car hire?
Ignore me, thought you could do the name your own price but not so.There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0 -
I googled "Disney World Discount Book" , one of the results is an ebay review.

Well spotted hairy. It took me a while to get the link to work so I'm reposting it:

On this thread you have a host of people who are regulars or experts on Disney. Some host websites, some have written guide books, some have been cast members, some have been there on holiday for over a year in total. If NONE of them know how to get legitimate 50% discounts on WDW tickets except via timeshare touts, then that probably means that they don't exist. Well done for exposing another scammer. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hi KarenG,
I just re-read the dining plan for 2009 and I am wrong, sort of. It states that gratuities are not included except where stated. In some spots it is included (mainly dinner shows and character dining) and is automatically added to parties of 6+ or when items not on the plan are ordered with meals (alcohol etc).
Now I have a dilemma...I could tip for my group of 4, but my father-in-law won't tip for his 2 (he never does) which would make us all look stingy, or save 18% over the holiday by not tipping and still seem just as stingy!Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -
