The Universal Halloween Horror Nights, are they too scary for my 70 yr old mum :eek::eek:,or is it just good fun ?

Now that depends on how kick-!!! your 70 year old mum is. I'm a wooss, and I still have nightmares about being chased by masked men with chainsaws. First you smell the petrol, then you hear the chainsaw, then they chase you . And that's just one of the milder bits. The parade is fun though, and parts of the evening are quite adult themed, so she shouldn't be a prude either.

This happens at Thorpe Park too during Fright Nights, but they are crazy Americans so you never know :p:D

Just back from a quick trip. Booked my car with Thrifty and they filled the tank and told me to bring back empty which is a bit of a con in my view. Does anyone know if this is standard or just them (they are part of Dollar). Thanks.

Last time we went it was the same. It worked quite well as we needed to put some more in and when we returned it it was almost completely empty.

This time the firm we are using does not give us a tank of petrol, but I think Id rather they did.

Anyone have any ideas how to get 50% of WDW tickets? It's being claimed here << click

That appears to be someone who is selling a book informing people how to get 50% off tickets.

I cannot see it myself personally.

On a better note, got my WDW tickets today from undercovertourist, only ordered them a week ago ! :T

Thanks everyone, I'll avoid that ebay auction, it does seem to have to do with timeshares probably.

    Hi

Using a lot of the advice posted from this thread I am about to book 2 weeks in Forida from the 19 May 2010, a fab deal through BA!

However I wondered if anyone had any experience of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Lake Buena Vista?

I also wondered if anyone knows when the Harry Potter Land will open at Universal?

Thank you for all the information in this thread so far and sorry if these questions have been asked already.

    Thanks again

    Hi isodan,
Harry Potterland is due for opening between 15 December '09 and 30 June 2010. Try this direct link to their website

    http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/

Looks as if you may get to ride the pre-opening tests, if you're lucky.

Does anyone know of a good place just to buy Seaworld tickets?

Everywhere I look has them bundled with Aquatica tickets which makes the price for entry to Seaworld for 2 adults and 1 child for 1 day about £195 which is a little excessive.

Last time I bought them direct on the Seaworld website, but I can't see the option to buy them singlely there either.

    Many thanks
