No mate, its a bird who come on about 7/8pm and talks to people about how things have made an impact on them, be it love, a death, friendship - Then she plays a song for them.

Amazing woman. Excellent to listen to.

    Hi All

we have booked a villa in orlando the park tickets for disney, unversal, seaworld and discovery cove are sorted. and 8 seater car is booked and paid for

however we are going from the 3rd - 15th sept can any one tell me what the the weather will be like and how busy are the parks.

there are 3 adults and 3 kids going but 2 of the the kids are diabled one has a learning disabilty and ADHD she is 11 and the other has a problem with being able to sweat and he is 13 so could over heat are there any tips for helping with this in the parks and any tips for parking as i understand this can cost a few dollers

One last thing is we are doing this on a budget so if anyone has any tips for eating out there would helpful

    Thanks

    Peter
the weather will be hot when ur there but it should be managable... luckly the Braziallian tour groups and majority of American will be away home and back to school at that point so the parks will be quieter.... unfortuantly the parks will have shorter opening hours compared to mid summer ( animal kingdom shuts at 5pm i think). In order to help ur kids make the most of it, if they cant handle the heat for soo long get ur doctor to write a letter specifying they need to be in shaded areas and are unable to wait in long lines for attractions etc, you can then take this to guest servicing at disney and they will give you a red pass ( i have forgotten the name sorry) which depending on the one they give you basically allow you to skip all the lines for the rides, and just go in the "fast pass" lane.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks again KarenG! Also made a note of disney-cjd's suggestions for Little Einsteins & Jojo's Circus! Starting to get a list together! Just had a quick look at Allears net website! Never knew any of these websites existed! Going to have to seriously get my planning head on and maybe draw up some sort of itinerary! Anywhere in particular you would recommend to eat in DTD?? I have never been there so I've got no ideas in mind but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all your help fellow Disney lovers!:A

    Hi Gayle

Thanks I think you are talking about the "Guest Assistance Card" 2hich is available to anyone with a challange that makes touring the world difficult. However (and I do not know if it changed since you were a CM) this does not automatically give you FP access and its to be used only by people who need it.

    Cheers

DTD has some really good places to eat (and I am not including the McDonalds!)

Paradiso 37 is brand new and very impressive from what I have seen and heard.

Earl of Sandwich is great for a sarnie

Raglan Road has a great take away fish adn chips that we will have once in our long 5 week stay

On the west side the House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck etc are nice.

Also, just before you enter DTD there is a shopping center at the other end of Hotel Plaza Blvd called crossroads which has some decent places like Olive Garden https://www.olivegarden.com and others.

Again on sites like All Ears https://www.allears.net they will have menus for most of these DTD places so you can have a good nose before

And if you then take into account parking at $12 a day...

    10 visits = $120 = £74
    15 visits = $180 = £110
    20 visits = $240 = £147

So there are savings to be had. You could also just get one annual pass for your group, which would cover the parking and then normal tickets for everyone else...

    Yep very good point

Does anyone know if the rope drop at the MK happens during the extra magic hours in the morning or only when it opens to the general public?
Also is there only a rope drop at the MK or do other parks have it too?
    Thanks
