    Got a few questions:

Has british airways cut down on flight to gatwick?
Reason i ask it was looking into flights from aberdeen and they said they dont do gatwick, would this just be an aberdeen to gatwick thing?i also see its not coming up online also.

Short answer is - YES the BA flights are no more - info here
    http://news.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/2008/01/flybe-to-launch.html

I am sure i used them some years ago to get to gatwick.

So this cuts my options even less on who i can fly with to one airline flybe are they any good?and they are not like easyjet with delays and things going wrong?

Also i have a few sites in mind to book through like kayak, ebookers, cheapest flights and last minute are they all ok to use or does one stand out better than the rest, would not want to use some crap site to book uk flights and be problems when maybe the other could have been used for a few pounds more, anyone used the above?

Also the orlando flights have been booked through travelcity direct, they said gatwick to my mother, dont they offer heathrow as well?I am sure i got one of there flights from there last time, would it be less expensive or more expensive to go heathrow or gatwick if available?
As i am thinking aberdeen flights there maybe more airline options going to heathrow.

Also anyway know some good sites on travel insurance for my mother who is 65yrs old,i think they dont insure for that age who also has asthma, looking best prices around or sites to search.

    thanks.

Last year we flew from Glasgow with First Choice and would do it again very good, so might be an option worth considering?
We all evolve - get on with it

Yes,contact the AA and they will send you a AAA card which can be used in USA/Canada. Lots of places give a discount with the card

We've got away many times with just using our normal AA card, though we've found sometimes that the AA rate is dearer  than other promoted rates.

Along with trying to find the best deal on Disney Tickets, etc...can anyone tell me which are best to buy, ie: The E-ticket type or the Real Tickets? (Oh and do Pensioners get concessions?)
    Thanks.

I would go for e-tickets. You can re-print them if the are mislaid, no danger of tickets getting lost in the post and, if you're importing actual tickets from the USA to the UK you may get charged import/customs duty.

Got a few more questions,i want to book uk flights to catch my flight in london gatwick.
I have 3 options which i have found to be best in price for dates i want to go,they are last minute, cheapest flights and ebookers.

Can anyone recommend these companies as if one is better than the other,if anyone has had a nightmare with any above and not use again or would all be just as good as the other,i not used them before and wanted to know who best to use.
They do vary in price on what i am looking for and as there is 5 of us going and want to make sure i dont pick so nightmare of a place to book the flights within the uk,i suppose any of them could go wrong but i want to know just by what people have used whats recommened more.

I also wanted to know if any sites i can read up about them, reviews and just what they are like to deal with.

Also as my london flight is another airline and different from the one still to book in the uk,i wondered about insurance.
Many of them dont mention it or say much about it,what happens say there was a delay in the flight that made us miss our main flight in london what would happen there,is the uk airline to cover that,we have an insurance for the london to usa flight, dont ask me whats its for as not me that booked.
But wanted to know this would be only for that flight and coming back from florida.
What about going from one airport to another within uk?would we need something for that also or just not really needed,i see one airline had scheduled airline failure insurance, whats that about?
I take it this is maybe just for incase the airline went bust or something.

As its been a while since we booked this way,i wanted to know who best deal with on the compaines i can use online to book the uk flihgts and also if insurance was required for out uk flights.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • Hi there!

Want to travel to Orlando Florida for a week. Either leaving Monday 17th-Monday 24th March (there abouts) or April 7th-14th (One week somewhere in then).

Can anyone suggest cheapest flights? Had a look around, but can't see any deals or whatnot! Don't know whether to leave it til the last minute to book, and if so, whether to go in March or April? Can fly from Glasgow or Manchester, and if at a push (and it's cheap enough :p) London.

Any help would be appreciated. Already read through the thread, checked out the links posted throughout (and on the first page), but thought any other advice would be good!

    Ta.

I am off to Florida with the family later this year and as it's been a long time since I was there, any tips on the cheapest way to buy tickets for the attractions, car hire, etc would be appreciated. I assume you can still look out for coupons for discounts at shops/outlets/golf/restaurants ?

Is there anywhere apart from Discovery Cove to do the swimming with dolphins thing? Without driving down to the Keys?

My daughter would love to do it, but Discovery Cove appears to be a huge rip-off, as you have to pay something like £80 or £90 to go in even if you aren't swimming. For that you get to feed some birds (wow), wade with some rays (done that in the wild) and lunch. Certainly not worth £80. I know you get tickets to Seaworld as well, but we're getting a FlexTicket to Seaworld, Universal etc anyway.

    If not, never mind.[/quo

Just a thought but if you book the ultimate swim package which is £165 for swim and £119 for non swim through orlando ticket deals you would get 14 days admission to Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica thus you wouldn't need the flex ticket and could buy unlimited U. Studios and I O Adventure pass (7 days)for about £48 from Undercover tourist.com. This is the way we have done it and worked out alot cheaper for 6 of us.
