They both look the same site to me? I havent used them but they are recommended on thedibb.co.uk.

Hi Tiff, the web address you wrote wasn't right, if you click on the link you put it doesn't take you to a ticket broker. I just put the right address down.

Looking to go to florida later in the year,5 adults anyone recommend best places online or high street for best prices and also an ok airline etc, probably from aberdeen or glasgow,or even london, but flights would need to start in aberdeen.
Several years ago we did the flight through travelcity direct but it seems to want you to book accomidation as well,i have already got that sorted,do they not do flights on there own now?

Hi bwatt. I live in Aberdeen and have just gone through exactly the same process as you. There is two adults, a teenager and one under 12 and in the end we decided to make the long drive to Manchester and fly from there. That cuts out the connecting costs and doesn't put us at the mercy of connecting flights.

If you really must fly try looking at flyBE and Easyjet flights from Inverness and Edinburgh. You will find there is a better selection and at a lot better price.

In the end we settled on Virgin Atlantic flights from Manchester at £1,850 for the four of us going over the October half term. I have priced up car hire through Hertz and an Intermediate with all insurance works out at £200. On top of that we have booked a 4 bed condo at Regal Palms for £450 for the two weeks. Take a look at the following link......

We also looked at TravelCity Direct but we've travelled with Virgin in the past and I understand that some of the TCD planes are getting a little tired.

    Good look with your quest......
  • Hi all
Off to Orlando for the first time at Easter (gulp) for a fortnight with the wife and two kids 14 and 12. We were thinking of just buying an Orlando Flex ticket each and doing the Universal side of things and doing them well and leaving Disney out altogether.
Never been before so would appreciate your opinions on this.
Also, how much cash should I take as I've heard that you can use your 'debt' card virtually everywhere out there.
    Many thanks

    Hi Martyn

The Orlando Flexticket is a great option if you want to concerntrate on Universal. They do a 4 or 5 park ticket, the 5 park one includes Busch Gardens in Tampa which is about an hour away.

The Visa debit card is very much accepted everywhere you are right, they use plastic just like we do and the exchange rate is still pretty good.

If you change your mind about Disney, you can always pay on the gate and they do some good tickets on the gate too for 1 or 2 days depending on what you fancy.

Have a great time....you will just love it!

Try to go through one of the many car rental brokers, , fifteen02.com, uscarhire.co.uk you will find they are much cheaper than the companies direct and at the moment there are lots of free upgrades and dont be tempted to go with the likes of hertz american site as you dont get the insurance cover. hope this helps

Is the Orlando Flexi Ticket plus a good option ?. We were thinking of getting this and then the Disney park ticket for 14 days.

If they are the best bet, where is the cheapest place to buy them ?.

Is there anywhere apart from Discovery Cove to do the swimming with dolphins thing? Without driving down to the Keys?

My daughter would love to do it, but Discovery Cove appears to be a huge rip-off, as you have to pay something like £80 or £90 to go in even if you aren't swimming. For that you get to feed some birds (wow), wade with some rays (done that in the wild) and lunch. Certainly not worth £80. I know you get tickets to Seaworld as well, but we're getting a FlexTicket to Seaworld, Universal etc anyway.

    If not, never mind.
