Coz they're a pain in the butt & didn't design the airport very well for international arrivals - just like Orlando McCoy aka Orlando International - ironic really, given the name :D

    cheers ;)

Wonderful... given it's the busiest airport in the world you'd have thought they'd put a bit of attention to detail into it!

Still, I generally have low expectations at airports and did not expect this to be any different.

fifeteen02 came out £35 more expensive than Usrentacar.

Would like to find cheaper but the only one cheaper is Easycar!!

Did you check the model with the upgrade on fifteen02, for us with usrentcar and full insurance it cost 368 for a premium but only 295 for a full size with the free upgrade to the premium with fifteen. Thats from Miami last year we had the same deal but from ATL and they were the cheapest again when you factored in the upgrade.[/quote]

Yep, we are going for the full size car with the upgrade to premium with Usrentacar. Us are doing the same upgrades with Budget rental.

Thanks, I was planning on just jumping on I75 and turning off onto the Florida Turnpike into Orlando. I'm taking my TomTom with US maps - should help a bit!

Why do they take your bags off you again at Atlanta? Is that customs?

Its a complete hash to be honest they do the customs bit in one part of the airport and then take them off you to put you on a train and your bags end up at the front door for the world to see and take away. very odd.

Was talking to my wife and we think we left our hotel just south of Macon at between 9 and 9.30 and reached Orlando at around 6 that night. We had two little ones 18mths and 4 with us so stopped a few times and had lunch could have cut it down a little if we were on our own but not that much

Looking to go to florida later in the year,5 adults anyone recommend best places online or high street for best prices and also an ok airline etc, probably from aberdeen or glasgow,or even london, but flights would need to start in aberdeen.
Several years ago we did the flight through travelcity direct but it seems to want you to book accomidation as well,i have already got that sorted,do they not do flights on there own now?
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
