I'm currently looking at Disney Tickets for my December trip.

There are 2 options for me as I see it ...

7 Day premium ticket for £200 or 3 Day Magic Your Way Base with 3 days free for £137 (essentially I've allocated 1 day per park for Disney with maybe an extra day or so if I can't get round everything)

I'm not currently planning on hopping or water parks so the Base ticket will on face value save me £63 per person. I'm just concerned there may be some gotcha's to consider. Should I be considering hopping?

    Advice would be appreciated!

I don't think it is possible to get round one park a day with any tickets to be honest. I would probably be tempted to go with the Magic Your Way tickets in that case. Hopping is great because if you are staying at a Disney hotel you get 1 extra magic hour in the morning at one park and then there are 3 extra hours at night at a different park, so if you want to stay and see the fireworks and stay a bit later to do more rides and walk around more then you should consider the park hopping option.

I go to Florida in a weeks time and both my wife and I are suffering from a virus.

The doctor says he wont prescribe antibiotics as yet unless it gets worse and we were wondering if we get worse on holiday can I walk into a chemist and get antibiotics or do I have to see a doctor

My mum is currently having chemo and she is coming with us. She seems fine, but it does make you prone to infections so she has been given anti-biotics just in case!
Don't know the significance of that as far as you are concerned though.

I would defo prefer to take them than to have to get them over there.

Hi, sorry if this is a bit off topic but am buying a house in Celebration but I can't get out until 3 July because of commitments and am finding the cost of flights a tad on the expensive side. All around £500 plus .

Is it because of the 4 July? Will they go down if I leave it another week or is July always horribly expensive. Booked to go in August with AA and only costing £1040 for me and the two kids.

    Thanks.

If you can afford to buy a house in the wonderful Celebration, surely you can afford to bring concorde out of retirement? :rotfl:

    Lucky you Mollybrush
I would love a house in Celebration. Its lovely at Christmas where they decorate the town and have snow machines blowing and a santas grotto. Mind you its nice in summer too.

I'm going to Florida in September, I fly to Sandford and I am staying on International Drive. However the last time I went I was only 16, now I am the sole driver going! How easy is it to find your way around? I recall the lack of signs when I last went, is it better to take a Sat-Nav with you? I'm not going to hire one as it is cheaper to buy new maps and take my own!!!
Also has anyone flown with Monarch recently? How are there flights and is it worth upgrading to their premium cabin???

On the navigation front, I would absolutely take the sat nav, the signs are still confusing at places

Just looking at flights in November, and the cheapest I can find is £705 for two, flying economy from Manchester with US Air. As I have only just started looking, not sure if this is a good deal, would I be better waiting a bit, and do US Air have a good reputation?
    Thanks

Shouldn't we just get back on topic instead of continuing this banal argument?

The post should have been treated with the contempt it deserves not give it credence by going on about it!
Personally I think the remark '90% on here is B!!' is far more harmful. Just because it is your first visit does not mean you do not discover something worthwhile.
Posts like that will stop new posts and that is what we do not need.
    Every post should be welcome.

That's not what i meant - but i do see how it could have been interpreted as such.

What i actually meant was that many many people just go to Disney, in August - Without a car. Then come on here and argue that because that worked for them then it is the best way to do things - I believe comments like those far more damaging.

Particularly when for many people Florida is a once in a lifetime holiday of their dreams which they have probably spent a year or more saving up for it.
