also if your staying at a disney hotel get all your disney purchases sent to your home address via the store at your hotel (remember you will have to pay customs and tax when it arrives). its not too expensive. i do that and get loads sent home and dont need to worry either about the size of things.

Going to Orlando at end of August this year and just wondered how much spends to take.

Have applied for a Fairfx card so will load most of my money onto this.

There are 5 of us (2 adults + 3 kids). We have paid for all "entertainment" so just need to know how much money to take for food and sundries (ice creams etc). Children are 12, 10 + 6. We are stating in a villa so will have to pay for all food. Will probably eat breakfast in the villa most days and take packup where we can do to the parks. Going for 13 days (inc one at Discovery Cove).

Also are the cash machines at the airport (MCO) easy to spot - was thinking of just drawing out money as soon as we got there or is this a bit "last minute" to get $ for tolls etc?
I am going with my Mum and my two kids (14 + 11).
She is taking £500 and we are taking £1000.

When we went two years ago, I took £700 and spent the lot and some on my debit card.

We saw this quite recently and were impressed by the well-crafted nature of the magic show, and the amusing patter throughout of magician Tony Brent. The food is just a bowl of salad and pizza (as much as you can eat - either cheese or pepperoni), so nothing special, but kids seem to really enjoy the show and the up-close magic that Tony is very proficient at. Sit too close and you will end up IN the show (as I did :o ). Good fun and good value, IMHO.

Did you by tickets beforehand, or just were you able to get in without a problem?
We are going in August, so I was thinking it will be quite busy.

I am flying to Sanford airport on 11/09/09 (I know the date isn't the best for flying to the US) with Monarch. Does anyone have info on their flights (leg room, headrest TVs etc...). Is it worth upgrading to premium?
I booked with Cosmos/Monarch because they had the cheapest deal.

Does anyone use the refillable mugs at different resorts, even though you aren't meant to? We are in a recession after all...

Forget about the SP whatever, use this stuff:

    Makes me lovely and brown.

    Yikes! You are kidding, right?

This would be the road to appalling sunburn for me (and I suspect many others!)

In theory it shouldn't matter now, as the WDW policy is for "length of stay" so you should be fine if you buy a mug at one resort and use it at another during the same holiday.

Having said that I've seen people use old style mugs at different resorts in different years. In theory you are not supposed to but the Disney staff don't say anything.

I'm too lazy to wash and bring mine back to WDW so I buy new ones. I also (sad, I know) like getting ones with a different design to bring home.
