you said the cocktails were expensive, i have got to be honest this is what im worrying about (not just the cocktails!!) when i went 15 years ago disney was expensive as you would expect from a theme park but we went to bells?? shopping outlet and bought loads of trainers/jeans etc im guessing with the economy/$ this wont be the case anymore?
Hi Ann. I assume that would be Belz mall. No longer there or rather the name has gone still a good mall there. And yes still loads of bargains to be had. The States has had to lower prices along with our outlets over here.
But drinks out are horrendous compared to over here. And if you want imported drinks they all come up pretty expensive.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
and for those reading Karen's tips about AKL, its worth popping into AKL of an evening even if you're not staying there just to have a wander and wonder at the magnificence of the building
Concierge guests staying at AKL can have an early morning tour of AK finishing with breakfast in the park, for an extra fee.0 -

Ahhh... sorry for waffling on about the children's activities, then!
There is some great info here about AKL:

I agree with everything atro1 says - still bargains to be had.0 -
I know there is another thread for this just now but it's turned into a bit of a battle so I hope no-one minds me asking the question here:
We're going to Florida in July and have filled out the visa waiver forms with no problems but now I'm panicking that there might be a problem with my husband getting entry as he has some convictions. To cut a long story short, his phsyco of an ex used to lock him out the house and then phone the police giving them lots of lies so 2 of the charges were admonished but he has a breach of the peace. This is from '99. Worse than that is from '96 when he drove off without paying for petrol when he didn't have any car insurance. Naively of him, the ex wasn't paying the bills as she was supposed to with the money he was giving her:mad: Should he contact the US Embassy to clear things up or is it better to let sleeping dogs lie?0 -

Get an appointment with the embassy. BOTP requires reporting, i've a friend who had to go to London to get a Visa0 -
You will not get a visa in time for July. The whole process takes at least 6 months. If you declare the convictions by making a phone call to ask then you will be probably told you need to apply for a visa.0

Shanta. The visa lasts the length of your passport. But I agree with you.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0
