Just as an FYI I have just seen this post elsewhere...... Might be handy for you all as this is a change from the past where it could not be done.

...To check to see if older tickets still have "days left" on them...

    Call WDW at
    (407) 566-4985

    When the system answers-
    Press "Option 2" when asked.
The CM can then check what's still on your ticket if you read her/him the numbers printed on it.

    They are only open Mon-Sat.....

    Cheers

If you can afford it go for a savannah view room. Best tip I can give.

were off to florida on 6th june, just wondered if anyone had any ideas on keeping a 4 & 2 year old occupied on the flight, my little lad has a ds he's taking with him but he'll get fed up with this after a while. Also may be a totally silly question but can you take your own sandwiches etc on the flight my kids are fussy eaters and probably won't touch the inflight meal.

    Thanks

    Hi Clare

We went in 2001 when our kids were 4 & 2. Flew with BA and they were really good with them. I took a small bag for each of them filled with new small toys (e.g. I got a pack of stretchy frogs for my little boy, small kalidescopes, colouring & reading books etc) and gave them one about every hour. These went down a treat and I will definitely be doing it this year when we go back with them (now 12 & 10) and their new brother (now 6) although I think the type of toy might be slightly different!

Has Disney clarified that now? When we asked last month they said they were still debating whether Jambo guests could use the Kidani pool (though Kidani guests could use Jambo), or at least restrict Kidani pool access to DVC members on points staying in Jambo.

I'd be interested to know :T
As far as I have seen they are sharing amenities. The leaflet says they share amenities.

OK, do you have children? There are loads of fun activities for them including pool games at select times, activities that the children complete in exchange for a special bead (that eventually makes a bracelet - sounds a bit naff but it's not, lovely carved beads that my daughters loved, plus doing the activities to earn the beads).

If you have children between 4 & 12 you can use the kids club, Simba's Cubhouse (fee payable) and have a little adult time.

I recommend Jiko for a lovely meal. Boma is great too with lots of different things to try.

There is a shortcut to west 192 down Sherberth Road, head out of AKL and it's a mileish on the right. Saves a bit of time.

The firepit is a lovely place to sit and relax on the rocking chairs.

There are loads of viewing areas if you don't have a savannah view room but there's nothing like having your own balcony and watching the animals.

You can borrow special night vision glasses to see the animals at night.

The CMs are full of knowledge and stories and love to talk to all guests about the animals - strike up a conversation.

Victoria Falls Lounge serves nice (though slightly pricey) cocktails.

Just a few random thoughts - hope they help.

Oooh, interesting, thanks. The DVC leaflets for Kidani we saw in April conspicuously didn't refer to it so it did make us wonder, especially when the DVC guide said it had not yet been decided.

thanks karen g sounds lovely, no children just 6 adults going so fire pit and cockails sound lovely!x

you said the cocktails were expensive, i have got to be honest this is what im worrying about (not just the cocktails!!) when i went 15 years ago disney was expensive as you would expect from a theme park but we went to bells?? shopping outlet and bought loads of trainers/jeans etc im guessing with the economy/$ this wont be the case anymore?
