Good to hear as having looked at the Thomson's website can get away for a week next Thursday for £307 for two so may well just go for it, especially if I can get my kitchen fitter organised for the same time :)

chatnoir - as far as I have heard is that it is, at the moment an advisory - that means you have the choice but I'd check that your insurers will cover as this could count as an exclusion to some policies.

We are over here at the moment and we flew with Thomson/First Choice I was truly amazed at the service we received.
First time we have travelled charter in many years The legroom was brilliant the food better than both Virgin and BA who we flew with last year.
The crew seeemed to enjoy serving you whereas nowadays Virgin crews certainly do not.
Going into Sanford is a dream compared to MCO no long walks we even had an immigration man that smiled!! We was out and through in 19 minutes! I am sure TC's will match TUI aircraft and it will be a very pleasurable experience.

Thanks Atro, flying into Sanford sounds alot easier for sure! And an immigration man who smiled... wow!:rotfl:I had one of those once - I think it was DFW (they're nice in Texas :D).

I have had the misfortune to fly Virgin on a number of occasions and 99% of the time have been totally unimpressed with their "service" (don't get me started:mad:) - one of the reasons we're trying Thomas Cook this time!

Sadly I think Virgin has to take a look at itself and not have such great adverts.
When they started they were great. Big parcels for kids and adults. Service was brilliant plenty of free drinks now they run out of spirits from an hour out!!

    Hi,

I'm just throwing some ideas around for next year, going 22nd may for 2 weeks which incldes half term for 2 adults 2 children 11 &7. I've priced up the Disney Pop/Movie/Sports hotel £2960 and The Residence Inn (Marriott) at Seaworld £2700 thro travelcity direct. Last time I looked on here Broadway travel was mentioned but are showing nothing at the min. Can the disney expert please give me some feedback as to whether these are reasonable prices and if not where else to look.

I'm going to start seriously price hunting soon so any advice would be appreciated as I'm a complete disney 'virgin'. My partner seems keen on a villa and car hire tho I'm concerned about car hire taxes, insurance etc.

    Many thanks.
  • Has anyone found a travel insurance policy which covers the price of tickets booked in the event of cancellation.

The best I have found is £150 which by no means covers my £2000 I have shelled out for tickets already.

I did book on credit card so will it be covered by this if I can't go for some reason (e.g. Swine Fever?)

Last time we went, we had "Free" car hire, but ended up hiring one seperately as all the charges they add meant it was far from free.

The queue for the "free" cars at Sanford was huge and our queue was just me!

It's a fair point you make as this is normally always the case however it's worth checking as some deals with your travel agents with the likes of Dollar will bill you for car parking charges if you don't use/cancel the car with them.

Personally i hate Dollar as the screwed me last summer.
