    Hi there, travelling to Orlando in May and the outgoing flight is not direct. We stop off at Chicago, then I think it's New York on the way back. I havent done this before, what happens with regards to luggage etc? Do we get it back and check on next flight, or is that automatically done for us? Dont want to presume things and end up with no luggage at the end!!
    TIA

    I am pretty sure that on the way out you have to collect it at the first airport and go through immigration and then re-check it.

    (I will know for definite on Friday, when we fly via JFK :T )

    We went through Chicago one year and yes on the way out you have to pick up your luggage for customs as it will be your first port of call in the US then check it back in for your next flight. On the return journey it will go straight through until your first stop in UK, hopefully!
  • as of this moment where is the cheapest place to grab a flexi ticket plus?

    i just rang virgin who were offering £165, but are no longer selling the tickets on their own...you have to book the tickets as part of a package holiday.(apparently this came into action on thursday...typical!)

    we are off in two weeks (short notice i know) so we would either want them delivered or arranged pick up in orlando.

    the cheapest price so far ive found is £187.

    im after a flexi ticket PLUS, we are going for two weeks.

    Contact premier on 01634 352143 . They buy all their tickets from virgin only they offer the ticket at a good price. The plus is 154 and 136 I think. This price will probably rise in April when the new brochure comes out as the dollr rate is so poor at the moment.

    I have just ordered (within last 5 mins) my Universal/ Sea World and Busch Garden tickets on-line at Virgin Holidays with no problems, all I would say is it looks like they are updating their prices as they are displaying higher prices on the ticket information pages, but check out shows old prices, I saved £52 for my tickets by getting the old prices, so I suggest you book quick, follow this link;

    Hope that helps, happy holidays!!
