You can use the Disney busses to get between these 2 parks.
If you want to hop between Magic Kingdom and Epcot you can use the Monorail or a bus.
If you are taking the car with you, then you may as well drive to the 2nd park - you'll only pay for the parking once.
Hope This helps0 -
hi nala,
thanks for the reply, didnt want to use the car for the first week, in which we are planning to do all the disney parks, so it is possible to travel between parks quite easily then ???
also, what is disneyquest ? cant find it on the disney website - and is it worth a visit
thanks again0 -

Disneyquest is a building in Downtown Disney that has lots of arcade stuff. We've been a couple of times over the years and find it can easily take up a full day! We haven't been for 18 months and TBH some parts of it were looking tired but we still had fun! It's a bit like Marmite....some people like it, some people hate itI wouldn't pay for a ticket just for DQ but I think it's worth nipping in if it's included in your ticket.
The transport system is really easy to use. Are you staying in a Disney hotel? There are bus shelters at each hotel and the busses will have the names of the parks they are going to on them.
Just outside each park there are more bus shelters. The shelters each have a board on them telling you which park or hotel they are going to.
If you are staying in a Disney hotel we find the bus is the easiest way to get to the Magic Kingdom as it takes you to the park entrance. If you are staying off-site then the off-site busses will drop you off on the other side of the lake (the car park is here too) and you'll have to get the boat or monorail to get to the entrance.

To add to Nala's post its nice to use the Disney transport to tour round the Disney hotels/resorts and have a nose while people watching. You can jump on the monorail to the Grand Floridian, go through the centre of the Contemporary or walk down to the beach through the Polynesian and view the MK fireworks from there and jump on a small boat over to MK.
Take the Disney bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge of an evening and listen to the African tales round the fire outside and view some of the animals while taking in the breathtaking beauty of the building. Same with Wilderness Lodge and from DTD you can take a boat to some of the moderate resorts. From the Studios and Epcot you can take a boat to the Boardwalk area and look round the resorts there and enjoy the street entertainment and the restaurants there while catching a glimpse of the fireworks from Epcot.0 -
Can you use the transport and visit some of these places even if you haven't got a hopper pass?
So if we spent a day at MK and then wanted to go and see what the resorts were like, can we get transport and have a nosy?0 -
Yes you can. You can use the Disney buses from DTD to all the resorts or use the monorail from the MK, Epcot and the Transportation Centre over the lake from MK.0

so...excuse the lazy side of me
after 181 pages what would be the cheapest place to get disney tickets from?
thanks in advanceThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0 -

We need more information - party size and make-up. How many parks do you want to do, how many days are you going for, how many days do you want to visit the parks on?
(It gets very complicated.....)
But it is fun too0 -
eeek
thanks in advance for any help.
well it does get complicated me (30) and my wife (28) are going with my brother (40) his wife (40) and 3 young kids (oldest is 9 then 7 youngest is 3)
the 5 of them are going for 14 days and me + wife are going for 10 days (the last 10 days of the main grps holiday)
we wish to be flexible the only park we dont wish to go to is bush gardens.
So i dunno if its cheaper for all 7 of us to get tickets together even if 2 of the 7 are only going for 10 days..
if you need any more info let me knowThe orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0
