    Thanks Furrypig, that's great :)
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
  • Can anyone help? My family and I are going to stay at Port Orleans in Disney in May. We will want to call home during our stay but the mibile companies want a fortune and Disney charge a daily rate for internet use so Skype is out. Are there any popular phone cards or anything like that that we can purchase and use? Thanks for any help!

McDonalds isn't free, its something like $2.99 for 2 hours.

Dennys is free. Super 8 and Motel 6 are both free so you could always park up outside.
All libraries in Orlando have free wifi too.

We tried to buy phone cards at Disney last year and were told they don't sell them, we bought one at Seaworld for $5, can't remember how many minutes we got but it lasted long enough for at least 3 or 4 calls home.

Walmarts or Albertsons sell these, so I take it most other supermarkets will sell them and it is very cheap to use these cards. 10c a minute.

Apologies, I just presumed it was because its free in the UK, and normally the UK is the last place to get anything free

Thanks, Mikepcon, for this info. We went to Florida last year but stayed on International Drive and got the I Ride everywhere. I've got this idea in my mind of going again in December of next year but this time hiring a car. Can you let me know what car hire company you used and if you booked it online?

Can you tell me a bit more abou the I Ride?
I've read that you can get unlimited rides for $16 each (there's 4 of us plus we would get my ds on for free) but I've now been told that they're not worth buying as you can't go far and its better to taxi
    Any thoughts please.....
  • Does anyone have any idea of a good amount of spends to take for a 14 night stay, there are 4 of us going myself my husband my ds whose 4 and my dd whose 2 where going first two weeks in June. A friend of my husband said we'd need at least £4000 ($5600) but i'm convinced this is a bit excessive i was thinking more about £2500 ($3500) plus the kids have $500 of their own that family have saved for them.

Plus how much is ideal to budget per day on food my kids aren't big eaters.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks ;)
