I've just booked our holiday to Florida in August.
I paid £1263.64 for the flights and car hire (1 adult, 2 children, for 9 days)
And £555 for a villa that sleeps 8, so we should have plenty of room lol.
So £1818.64 for everything but the park tickets. Which I thought was pretty good.
I'm thinking of giving Disney a miss and just buying an Orlando Flex Ticket Plus because that covers 6 days, and we are only going for 9 since the schools have actually decided to start right at the beginning of September for a change.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

That's quite a good price. Flights in August were loads more than that when we looked.
Have you been before? And how old are the children? Depending on age Disney might suit better than Universal (sorry if you've been before!!).
BTW, same fiver29 as on Dooyoo?0 -
Yes same Fiver as Dooyoo
The kids are 9 and 11, so Disney is the 8 yr olds favourite, but too young for the 11 yr old.
We're going because my mum left some money in her will and I wanted to do something the kids would remember. But it doesn't quite stretch to buying both sets of tickets because the Disney ones ever for just a couple of days seem really expensive.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
Fair enough. Check out the height restrictions for Islands of Adventure though. There was a fair amount of stuff our 7 year old was too small for.0

I'd better put her on the rack for a bit beforehand then LOL.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

Has anyone bought tickets from tickets4fun recently? After the site was mentioned on this thread, I checked it out and they were the cheapest by far but now the site doesn't seem to exist.0

Can anyone recommend any good deals? Originally we were looking at August, but prices seem to have shot up in last couple of weeks(Expedia). So now we are looking at May. Its for two adults, and three kids(10,8 and 3). We would like to stay in a hotel,(we have stayed in Comfort Suite Maingate East, would love to stay there again) and we have a flexible budget of about £3500(not including park tickets).
TIA

Anyone gone with Charter travel?
Not impressed so far - group of 7 adults and 1 child.
So far they have cancelled our villa and not put much effort in to finding a replacement (we found are own in the end).
Changed our flight twice - we have now found out that the seats that they have got us on the return leg are different to what we asked (2 centre rows instead of 4 window seats).
Finally we wanted a car and a van and they have booked it with 2 different car hire companies which means (I am guessing) that as we want multiple drivers on both, we will have to queue twice to sort out our cars.
Bearing in mind we started booking last May for this April to avoid all this sort of rubbish, I am starting to wonder what we are paying them for!
Still, we will be there in 8 weeks0 -
Travel City Direct generally offer competitive prices and now offer the security of being owned by Virgin. Dialaflight cam in the cheapest when we looked for a hol to Florida last year.0

Hi All,
Have been reading this thread and been getting loads of fab tips for our first disney trip. My 3 year old is soooo excited, and well of course so am I!
Sorry for the long post... but want to give as much info to get the right advice.
We are struggling a bit to find decent flights as we are travelling at Christmas.... I know it's peak season etc etc but would love some advice.
We are meeting all my hubbys family there (they are all flying in from Canada) and we have got the villa already booked through dad in law. The villa is booked from 13th Dec - 17th Jan as hubbys parents will be there for 5 weeks. We are pretty flexible with dates between that period but defo want to be there between the 18th and the 3rd Jan as the whole family will be there then. We would like to stay for 3 weeks, but can do a few more or less if needed.
Pref airport is Manchester, but will consider other options if it saves us enough ££s and we are fine to go into Orlando or Tampa. 2 adults 1 child 1 inf. Best thing I can see is MAN-MCO on US airways via PHL for about £500 per adult. totalling £1800ish for all of us. What do you think? Will I be able to get better than this? Are there any suggestions for cheaper alternatives? Are there any charter flights flying into orlando or tampa around Christmas? Are there any options of more direct flights for similar prices?
Thank you in advance for any help and advice
