Are you able to get 2 or 3 day tickets for Disney in the UK? Everywhere seems to be doing the 7 - 14 day ones (We are a party of 8, the savings are pretty significant) - I know you can get them through the Disney site itself.
And can anyone recommend anywhere vegetarian, my other half is a very fussy eater.

Hey!!!
Going to disney in June for two weeks!! can't wait and feel like a big kid!! Anyhow to point, Is the disney dining plan worth it?
We were told by the agent that it would be free, which I questioned at the time of booking and have now found out it's not.
So can you pay to eat at the resort hotel resteraunts rather than have the plan, any idea of prices or would it worth venturing out of disney?1st Aim = Pay off Virgin CC - £3929.110 -

absolutely right. it's being advertised heavily at the moment.
you have to stay at a disney resort for at least 5 days, and they offer a 14 day ticket for the price of a 7 day ticket, and offer free dining (I did not see the small print on this)Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
Not sure if this has been covered... didn't know whether to post here or in freebie section?

Go to ticketmaster.com ( usa ) and type in Universal orlando
Then click on 2 day 2 park pass . Enter in password box " explore "
Then you can buy the tickets for just under $80 each
Best way to get them delivered is the " print at home " option . This costs an extra $1.75 per booking
Ticket works out just under £45 our money , instead of around £62 from ticket sellers on the internet
Post how you got on please0 -

I am needing some help on bringing things back from Orlando.
I am wanting to bring back a large boxed toy item when I visit Orlando next June but was wondering the best way to do and the cheapest. It weighs including the box 77 lbs. I am flying with Virgin will they charge me extra to check it in? Are there any companies that will ship it to the UK for me whilst I am there to arrange it?
Any help in advance will be greatly receivedIf this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.0 -
Hi Lucygotit,
I'm very intrigued as to what the toy is!!!!
Your Virgin allowance is 46kg per person, split into 2 bags not weighing more than 23kg each (well, they give you leaway up to 25kg each as we found out on Sunday!!!)
77lb is roughly 35kg, so I'm guessing you would need to get in touch with them to see if they would even take it - and if yes, if you could include it in your 46kg individual allowance.
HTH
PS - Re: the vegetarian question above - I'm also vegetarian, and found it quite difficult, with the exception of ordering pizza off of a kids menu(!) in some of the nicer restaurants.
Surprisingly, some of those scathed above (Sizzler / Golden Corral) had the best veggy options, but be prepared for canteen style food - but at approximately £5 - £6 for a 3 course, very edible meal (I had the salad bar for starters, usually left the main course, and had mass dessert!) there's not much to complain about!!
My unusual complaint about some of the more 'classier' restaurants was the disgustingly, unedible gigantic food portions, some of which put me off before I even started. To have a plate of food that would feed 6 people in front of me, actually quite distressed me at the amount of waste! By the end of our fabulous holiday, I had learnt only to order off of the kids menu!
With regards to tipping, we left between 5 and 10 dollars per restaurant meal. Which was usually between 5 and 10%. I have no conscious problems with that!0 -
The Free Dining plan is from 2nd August until 3rd October 2008 - from checking with this it seems you have to return by 3rd October as anything after 3rd it charges you for when you book, you have to buy a 14 day ticket, for which you will pay for a 7 days (so getting 7 days free). More details here: http://www.tcsignature.com/Pages/Static/Offers/Disney.html If you stay in a Value resort (anything under 4 star) you get a value dining plan, 4 star and over you get the Disney Dining Plan for free.
I considered going end of August but it is very HOT, which is OK if you like standing around in the heat but as a family we would hate it so decided time of year and actually enjoy the holiday.
All the agents should be running this offer to check when you go to book.0
