why take up valuable luggage space with cereal and washing powder? theres a store on site at fort wilderness, that im sure would sell these, they sell most things there for campers. plus im sure theres a launderette there if you really need to do washing. dont forget ther luggage allowance is really small now a days, so youd be better buying a small box of powder and stuff there. disney resorts have great eating places, i remeber on our last day at the magic kingdon we went over to f wilderness, and stayed for lunch, where it was all you can eat for about $12 including drinks, it was great, and upset we didnt find it earlier, as the whole setting is really lovely and away from the crowds, and great value.we are off next may and will be eating there loads. any one done the hoop dee doo review or mickeys backyard bbq? might try these too!
  • Without a doubt my favourite place to eat is the Boma Restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Disney World. We have stayed there about 4 times. Last year we went for Xmas, but can't afford it this year as I am still paying the Credit Card Bill. But if you get a chance Check out the Boma -it's the best. So is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I love it so much I started a blog - a great way to put your holdiay snaps on the web.

We have a pool with the villa but the kids want to go to the beach.

has to be Clearwater without a shaddow of a doubt. Just stay fopr one night at either the Hilton or Marriott Sand Key for about 120 bucks

If you do not want to stay, park at the Hilton and you can use all their stuff during the day like private beach and showers etc

reet. we fly on saturday morning. i'm so excited! (first time)
got money/credit cards/car/insurance sorted. going to be taking my laptop and ipod touch for web access while im there. think we've got everything sorted now.

only thing i'm looking for now is food... can anyone recommend either a good steakhouse (quality more than quantity. i want to try kobe beef) and somewhere good for sushi in the davenport/kissimee areas (or nearby)

so far, this looks promising: http://www.kobesteakhouse.com/

    any recommendations?

also, with any luck we'll be seeing a shuttle launch (unless it gets put back much further) - anyone got any suggestions of somewhere to go watch it (somewhere there wont be as much traffic as where the launch site is) - i'm thinking a nice park or something nearby. from what i've read, titusville or cocoa beach sound like the best plan (i'll be taking my SLR and a big zoom lens) - http://www.launchphotography.com/Shuttle_Launch_Viewing.html

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the launch has been delayed, with no prospective date targeted at the moment.

It's possible there will be no more shuttle launches until next year now. It seems there is a 'glitch' on Hubble that needs fixing first.

  • Hey!!!
Going to disney in June for two weeks!! can't wait and feel like a big kid!! Anyhow to point, Is the disney dining plan worth it?
We were told by the agent that it would be free, which I questioned at the time of booking and have now found out it's not.
So can you pay to eat at the resort hotel resteraunts rather than have the plan, any idea of prices or would it worth venturing out of disney?
