This thread is a really useful one for many of us visitors to Orlando and Florida. However, if you do have time I really really suggest you check out this website.
its http://allears.net/ and was started many many years ago by Deb Willis. I have helped her over the years, not for a while mind, but the site is awesome. Its not a forum, its a real Disney fan all you can eat and know and all advice and menus and EVERYTHING you want to know about Disney.
If you do want a book, I would really reconmend the Brits Guide to Orlando. It comes out each year and costs less than a tenner. Use it as plane reading or train reading before hand. The first time I got this book I learnt so much about Orlando and it has great tips and what to do and where to go.
2008 edition is available http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brit-Guide-Orlando-Simon-Veness/dp/0572033818/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219261755&sr=8-1
2009 addition is availabe to pre order http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brit-Guide-Orlando-Simon-Veness/dp/057203489X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219261755&sr=8-2
Hope these are of use to someone.

i heard the launch in october had already been cancelled, may be wrong though, and when i was over there, i thought i saw on the news over there, that there was going to be no more shuttle launches anymore, and they were trying to get more rocket launches from kennedy, Dave
Hi Dave
that could well be the case, there was something here on the news the other day, i was half listerning, about the US losing the use of the International Space Station because they have stuck their noses into Georgia.
Shame if true as the shuttle rocks

yes after a bit more research, i found out there will be no more shuttle launches from 2010 onwards, i definetely saw it on the news whilst over there last week(even the mrs recalls seeing it, and she is not normally interested in that sort of thing) that the nasa shuttle programis coming to an end, and loads of jobs are going to be lost, so they are trying to get more rocket launches to launch from there, to try and minimise the job losses, but it will still mean over half the jobs going, and after a bit more research i came across this story,it looks like the 2 presidential candidates are going after floridas votes, by promising if they get in, then they promise 1 more shuttle launch after the planned shuttle program closure, it will be a shame to see them stop, i am always glued to the tv on takeoff, i wanted to visit there whilst we was there but didn`t bother as i thought our 2 young daughters would have got bored very quickly, got a good look at the launch pad on the way home on the plane though, what a sight, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -

we personally never went on those when we went to hollywood studios, as the mrs is 3 months pregnant, so did not think they would be suitable, cant comment on the rock and roller, but did her people commenting on the tower of terror, everybody i heard talking about it only had positive things to say about it, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -

dont know how true this is, but when we was at seaworld, i overheard one of the members of staff telling some of the customers, that there was a rumour going around that they was thinking of making aquatica a seasonal park, so it maybe closing in november for the winter, like she said she cant understand why they would as it is florida, and it is pretty busy there all year round, but just letting people know what i heard from a member of staff from seaworld, who i believe own aquatica, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Aquatica is already closed on selected Mondays & Thursdays in Nov & Dec

Hi,
might be a bit of a strange question - but does anybody know of any airlines that fly in the evening from London area to Orlando? I know there's overnight flights returning, but does anyone know of any overnight flights on the way out there?
We've managed to get some time of work and are trying to maximise the time we can spend there, it's only half a day extra I realise but it's better than a kick up the backsideAiming for that elusive 'debt free' by Christmas 2012
