as mentioned before by other people seaworld can be done easily in a day, i was not that impressed by it to be honest, busch gardens was far better, but then again i am not really into dolphins and whales, although the shows where good, i would definetely go the route of the sat nav, especially if it is your first time out there, as disney says though the roads are pretty easy to follow, once you get used to them, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0

Each to their own, we love Seaworld and always do two days, one early and one later for the evening shows.0 -

Sorry, I could PM you but I think other people may find the answer my Q interesting.
You mentioned going to Titusville to watch a shuttle launch. We've had tix for Kennedy twice and the launch was scrubbed. There's another launch when we are over and save wasting money on tix for the end of our hols (again) we thought we would go to Cocoa and watch from there. But you recommended Titusville. Looking it up on the map it is closer to Cocoa, so looks a good call. But where's the best place to go and how early do you need to get there to secure parking etc?
Thanks!
No problem at all.....
I think the next launch is in October, we just miss it which is a shame, but they often move the dates due to the weather.
Titusville is only small but whats nice is it is across from the launch pad so all along the coast there are little areas to watch it. TO be honest you do not need to be there at the front as as ling as its clear you will get a great view! The whole town buzzes and the hotels get full. Its quite near Coco so you can always spend a few hours thre and then go baack to Titsville for the launch.
I would get there a couple of hours before and you will see it. There will be a crowd mind you but you will get a good view from the vantage points!
You will know when the next one is going up, its all over the news as you can imagine and its an truly awesome sight. What also is cool is when it returns to earth (the shuttle) no matter where you are in Florida, if oit lands at Cape C then you will hear a sonic boom when it re-enters. Its soooooooo cooolSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

Blizzard Beach is more family friendly as opposed to Typhoon Lagoon which imo is more young teens and such.
But really both are fantastic.
Bang on. BB rocks, it just totally changed the way water parks are done. TL is also good, the wave pool is something else. Sometimes they have people surfing in it which is amazing to watch. You can even hire it for surfing!
I would say that if you take a towel and a cossie with you to Cypress Gardens they have three good slides, a wave machine pool and a nice play area within their own water park. Be warned its no Disney BB but its good and part of the tickets.
Also at Cypress remember you pay for one day and get another one for free so you cold do rides one day and the water park the other?Self confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

Thanks Ed'lass, that's a good idea, do two half days in Seaworld, we will have an unlimited pass thanks to Discovery Cove. My daughter loves shows, we had to watch Benson the sealion at Flamingoland over and over again for a week! So much to do...so little time!!Back on it!0 -
Is it possible to do a 14 day hol without a 'rest day' lol?Back on it!0

Rain rain go away come again another day .... So as you all know the weather in Orlando this past week has been pretty dreadful. So what do you do when its tipping down??
Well here are some of the things we have done over the years and countless trips ...
- don't let it get you down. I know if ytou are hear for ten days or two weeks or whatever and it rains out for a few days it can put a damper on things. But there are things to do!!
- my kids are still small at 6 and 4 so if yous are older I have added a few things in there that I'd did when I was a big kid
- also it will depend if you are in a hotel or villa. Its easier in a villa in the rain as must of them have good cable. Video games etc.
- you could try Monkey Joes https://www.monkeyjoes.com which is an indoor play park. Many slides and bouncy castles. Its located in Festival Bay Mall on I Drive near to the old Beltz now Prime outlets. Costs about 8 bucks a child.
- if you kids are older next door to MJs is a Vans skateboard park (indoor)
- you can try Disney Qwest in DTD which is an awesome indoor interactive theme park.
- go to the pictures. There are AMC theatres all over with a great one at Pleasure Island. You even get free popcorn refills!!!
- go see the Titanic experience. That's really quite good.
- there is fun spot but this sometimes does not work when its really raining. Its more for big kids as it has awesome go karts and you can print vouchers etc from the net.
- shopping!! Never complain about doing some shopping. Remember though the outlet malls are mainly outdoor malls so try Milina mall or Florida Mall. If its not too expensive Johny Rockets at the Mall of Milena doesome of the best burgers and shakes (or with Steak n Shake or Five Guys Burgers) then afterwards go to the Cheescake factory and they have tens of different ones each sold by the slice or as a whole pie. Yummy. Craigs Crazy Carrott is. But I would say that.
- Roller and ice-skating rinks located immediately off of US192 near West Vine Street and East Irlo Bonson Memorial Highway respectively.
- Wonderworks and the great comedy dinner show on I drive
- if you are staying on Disney property why not take a trip around all the other Disney hotels especially the pricey ones. Costs you nothing and they are all awesome.
- The Florida Aquarium http://goflorida.about.com/cs/attractions_animal/a/aa071403a.htm
- National Museum of Navel Aviation whilst a little way away its free and massive http://goflorida.about.com/od/museumssciencecenters/p/navalaviation.htm
Hope that helps some of you!
Cheers
