Arghhh, my minds absolutely spinning with all the various different disney ticket options!! I have no idea which way to go ... and usually get these things wrong. This is what put me off last time, I just didn't have a clue which ones to get.

Can anyone tell me which types of the various zillions of disney ticket package I'm best off buying.

We are going for 3 weeks. We already have the middle week covered with discovery cove, busch gardens, sea world, aquatica.

I still need tickets (in red) for:

Day 1 - Studios (mainly just for the HSM Pep Rally!!)
Day 3 - Possibly a disney waterpark or rest day ...?
    Day 2 - Magic Kingdom
    Day 4 - Animal Kingdom
    Day 6 - Epcot
    Day 7 & 8 - Mop Up of Disney - Anything Missed

Day 10 - DC (Got tkts)
Day 12 - Aquatica (Got tkts)
Day 13 - Busch Gardens (Got tkts)
Day 14 or 15 - Sea World & Aquatica again if good (Got tkts)

Day 17 - Universal Studios (Do I want to go here??)
Day 18 - Universal Studos - the other park (can't remember name)

Day 19, 20, 21 Aquatica / Sea World / shopping / chill out (Got tkts)

Can be flexible on anything except discovery cove as had to book that months ago, so if there's a better option by swapping around the days then I'm happy with that.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP ONCE AGAIN !!!!

Nice to se you are all planned out thats great!

As for Saturday arrival I do not know who you are fling with but you will be unlikely to get to your hotel until at least 6 or 7pm so after some unpacking anda bit of food you will be knackered and the kids (if any) will be all out of sync.

Also All i would say is that Busch Gardens is a LONG drive, about 1h 15 mins from Orlando and thats if traffic OK. So you may want to have a rest day after that.

For Acquatica, you HAVE to get there early otherwise you will not get int even if you have tickets. Once its full thats it they close it up.

Also, you have not got Cypress Gardens on there. Again depends when you go and who is in your party but I would defo go there if you can.

Seaworld is just a day trip for me. Its really not one of my favorites. DC is AWESOME mind and well worth it!

As for tickets, have a look over the last couple of pages of this thread there are some good exmaples of places and options. a 7 day pass if probably all you need, you may even get away with a 4 or 5 day one.

As for shopping, see my posts above about the malls and the like.
    Have fun.

COMPLETELY AGREE in terms of Seaworld. Waste of a day imo.

In regards to Tampa/Busch earlier this year we were headed to Clearwater and were stuck in traffic for about 6 hours. It turned out about an hour earlier there had been a huge pile up of about 70 cars. Ill never forget driving home and smelling all the smoke as the Highway was still closed, one of the first cars let back on to the Hghwy further down, i could smell the burning of cars. It was only once we returned to the hotel i realised it wasnt just the burning fields we could smell. A very sad day.

And when you miss your junction because you didnt realise the right hand road had suddenly become an exit?

I know a map is fine, but then i have drove thousands and thousands of miles in the US. This woman is going for the first time with kids on her own. To advise her she will be fine with a map and to give the Sat Nav a miss is pretty useless in all fairness.

Us too Sturll. We live here for 3 months so have done many many miles with and without. I can only speak from our experience and remember that Little D does not have a satnav and its her first time (i think). Driving in the US on the wrong side of the road with the Americans whose driving test comprises a lap of a car park (no joke we have done it) then you last thing you need is a machine barking at you.

If you plan your days you will be fine (I hope!!) but again if you can borrow a sat nav from someone like a TomTom 910/920/930 then go for it. As long as you can multitask (as a ladyeee I am sure you can). Or if you are worried and want to hire one then try one for a few days from these places....

Good luck whatever you decide. I did just ask my wife what she would prefer for her first trip and she typically said both! That dont help!

    Cheers

id get a disney uk exclusive 14 day pass which is only about £10 more than a 7 day pass.
    14 day ultimate ticket £175
7 day premium ticket £165 which is 14 days unlimited to everything disney, from disney parks, water parks, downtown disney quest, as many times as youd like so you could visit animal kingdom, park hop, and visit a water park then see wishes at magic kingdom, for example, whereas the 7 day only allows 7 visits in total to water parks, world of sport and disney quest.
attraction tickets direct are very good, and ask what deals they are doing, when we went we got free water proof ticket holders , a phone card to phone home with some dollars on it.
  • oh dear, I got my Discovery Cove with 14 days of Seaworld!!! I'm starting to wish I'd gone to butlins lol :o

Discovery cove is great. But 14 days at Seaworld? You'll be done after 14 minutes.

You know when i go to Disney i spend up till about lunch in Disney park then go to waterpark for afternoon. Have you considered this approach? They probably aren't as big as you might be expecting.

Was planning 2 days at Seaworld, but after all your posts, may do one Seaworld and one Cypress Gardens. My daughter is 7, was going to give Universal a miss, as heard the rides were more geared for older kids, although I wanted a cuddly Lorax from Suess Landing :j

Thats sounds a better idea to be honest. My son is 6 and we have gone yearly since he was 4, he has always loved Universal. I personally prefer Universal to Disney (rides) But in terms of suitability they have loads at Universal just perfect.
