Thanks Dave, yes, that's helped. My friend also warned me of the 'upgrade' patter by the rent a car companies. I won't fall for the 'toll ticket', thanks for that tip, we too are travelling from Sanford. In two minds whether to pay for the petrol in the UK, even though it's cheap there, they may charge a fortune for it at the airport. I'll deffo book the car tho from the UK, then it's paid for and one less thing to worry about!

Not looking too forward to melting in the heat...but can't wait to eat Froot Loops again!!;)

yes get it with a full tank of petrol, but be warned you will probably have to return it with a full tank, i had factored it to be about $150, as the guy i spoke to was livid at the price of gas, and then when i saw the prices of £3.69, i thought wow he is right, that is over 3 times we pay, but they advertise there price by the gallon, not the litre like we do, so i was surprised to fill it up on only $50(£25), like i said before they moan about the price over there, HTH Dave
Take every day as it comes!!

will still be in the 80s - you probably wont need pool heat either, all depends on how hot you like the water.

It really only gets a little chilly in Jan and Feb and by a little chilly I mean 70s. Some days it will go to 60s and that really feels odd.

Would you recommend a sat nav? I've never used one before! Staying in a villa in Calabay Parc and planning to go to Disney, Discovery Cove and Seaworld...not much further.....are they easy to find? Mind you, I also want to find some Ugg boots, so all malls aswell hehe

Way cheaper than a sat nav and excellent too...buy a map from OrlandoMaps for £7.73 incl p&p.

I would recommend a Sat Nav. I usually take one. The old 'use a map' is outdated and daft to be honest.

As for the guy who felt ripped off by tolls - When i went i thought i had bought one, got home and a few months later got a summons for $150 for failing to pay tolls. I had been driving through them thinking i had pre payed. Stunned to find out i hadn't actually bought one.
So if you do buy one - and i dont know how you only managed to drive through three you really cant have done much driving or you must have avoided Osceola and all the other big roads - then i would say they are probably worth it.

Arghhh, my minds absolutely spinning with all the various different disney ticket options!! I have no idea which way to go ... and usually get these things wrong. This is what put me off last time, I just didn't have a clue which ones to get.

Can anyone tell me which types of the various zillions of disney ticket package I'm best off buying.

We are going for 3 weeks. We already have the middle week covered with discovery cove, busch gardens, sea world, aquatica.

I still need tickets (in red) for:

Day 1 - Studios (mainly just for the HSM Pep Rally!!)
Day 3 - Possibly a disney waterpark or rest day ...?
    Day 2 - Magic Kingdom
    Day 4 - Animal Kingdom
    Day 6 - Epcot
    Day 7 & 8 - Mop Up of Disney - Anything Missed

Day 10 - DC (Got tkts)
Day 12 - Aquatica (Got tkts)
Day 13 - Busch Gardens (Got tkts)
Day 14 or 15 - Sea World & Aquatica again if good (Got tkts)

Day 17 - Universal Studios (Do I want to go here??)
Day 18 - Universal Studos - the other park (can't remember name)

Day 19, 20, 21 Aquatica / Sea World / shopping / chill out (Got tkts)

Can be flexible on anything except discovery cove as had to book that months ago, so if there's a better option by swapping around the days then I'm happy with that.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP ONCE AGAIN !!!!

I would second Nala's recommendation of OrlandoMaps, we used this and it is excellent.
I wouldn't bother with SatNav. Completely unnecessary unless you are exploring further afield and not confident with maps. Orlando is completely set up for tourists so everything is well signed.

What days of the week do these equate to?
At all parks some days are busier than others, also might need to take into account EMH if you're not staying on-site.

    What's EMH?

Day 1 is a Sunday (we actually arrive on the Saturday morning, but have left that day out for flight recovery!!)

We're not staying on site - we're staying in Lake Buena Vista ... does that make huge differences? We've got a hire car.

    Thanks again
