Have been quoted £580 for adult & £490 for child. Altogether £1650. Last time I went 4 years ago the flights cost me just under £500 all together!!
You'll never get anywhere near that anymore unfortunately.
I assume you are flying on a Saturday? If you fly midweek the flights are usually cheaper. Also try thomsonfly who fly to Sanford which may come in a bit cheaper, or try flyzoom.co.uk.
Other than that I would keep trying, the flights are about that much at the mo for when I am going in October (Sat to Sat) but i'm flying for £325 (Wed to Wed) so you can save quite a lot going during the week.0 -
Does anyone know the current toll charges on the 417 Central Florida GreeneWay from Sanford down to Kissimmee please ??? I want to make sure I have plenty in change for when we arrive.0

Mr postman that's a bit of a blanket statement that Universal is rubbish, both parks have quite spectacular rides. From Hulk to Duelling Dragons and Spiderman to the Terminator and Jaws and the Mummy, its still one heck of a day out if your fit enough to do both parks in one day and have lunch in the hard Rock when walking from one Park to the other.
As to tickets for the Parks, if you can afford the no expiry ones go for them, because you just do not realise how good the holiday is/was until you get home and start talking and thinking about it. In 1992 I was told to get Disney tickets, they were all non expiry then, the 5 days hopper pass was £49, because they are rising in value quicker than Gold! Which has proved correct.
As to pricing, the flights are now so expensive people are just not returning so often and the Hotels in Orlando and Vegas are really suffering hence there are a lot of great hotel deals out there.
Cypress Gardens is a very nice relaxing day out see a couple of their shows go for a dip and have a couple of rides. It is not as well organised as Disney and Universal but the tickets are BOGOF and there is usually a concert on the Saturday night last year we saw the Beach Boys [who were great] and Leanne Rhymes[sp] who had a couple of guests , not a clue who they were,
but the shows are great drawback is on concert nights it takes a good 1/2 an hour to get out of the park.
Hope this helps someone.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
A lot off the hire cars now have passes for the tolls with a sensor built in, which bill the car hire company direct and charge them straight to your credit card. Works very well, and its cheaper and quicker.

Cyprus gardens is a hidden gem really. I love it there. It has been reborn and when you pay for entry they give you another day for free which is great as inside the park there is another water park so you can use your free day to visit that,
Remember the theme parks have to feed different peoples requirements. Some just want the white knuckle rides like Rock N Roller and Hulk etc. Some want the shows like Lion King at Animal Kingdom or Fastasmic as Hollywood studios. Some want to see Mickey etc.
Remember Florida is HUGE and has so much to offer. You are all doing the right thing here in asking questions, Continue to ask questions and plan your trips carefully. It sounds really sad at time to orgainse a holiday like this but its a must for Florida

Compared to what I expected I was disappointed with Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure not so much, which is where the vast majority of the rides you state are situated.
I love the mummy and the terminator is pretty good and I liked Men in Black but theres not a lot else that I though was all that great at Universal but like its said above, theres a lot of different people who want different things out of the parks. Like I said if I had to choose (personal choice) I would pick Islands of Adventure and spend more time at places like Seaworld, Busch Gardens and some of the Disney parks.0 -

You do not have to drive at all there although it is easier. See my post above about the mears shuttles
check out https://www.mears.com
