Im fairly sure that staying at a Universal hotel enables you to jump the queues in the Universal parks......a real bonus at the height of summer when the queue is 2 hours long for a 45 second ride.

How about one week at a Universal hotel, then one week at a Disney onsite hotel (free buses), or one near Lake Buena Vista (free shuttles)?

At the Universal end of Orlando is Sea World and the new water park.

if you are staying in a hotel on one of the disney resorts does that mean you get to queue jump as well, and if so, is it all the disney parks, or just the resort you are staying at, we know about the golden hours, just not heard of this queue jumping before, many thanks Dave

No queue jumping for Disney guests but you can do fastpass like everyone else.

Hi. I thought I'd check with the group about the deal I am being offered through a company advertising on teletext for a family holiday to Orlando in August. Not sure if it is a good deal and what I should watch out for before confirming the booking.

2 adult and 2 kids. 14-nights travelling from Manchester mid August to early Sep. Hotel off International Drive / Universal Drive and car (inc insurance) for 1 driver. Total £2650. It sounds good compared to some of the prices I have seen on the board but:

1 Is it a good deal?
2 What should I watch out for before confirming?
3 What about once we are there? Any tips?

    TIA

does this include tickets for parks, if not it is a good deal, if it does then i would break the persons hand off who is iffering it to you, we are going in 5 weeks time, and ours is £1500 more than that, mind you that does include all the ickets we need, and staying at a hotel on one of the disney resorts.

There is a huge price difference between the Disney hotels and the I Drive ones. That and the cost of your tickets is probably the difference

Allows you to skip the regular queue by giving you an allotted time frame to come back in when you request the pass.

Universal don't do it yet make you pay for it. At Disney it is free- one of the reasons why Disney is better IMO.

Simon, remember you will need a tri band phone for these. We have two Tracfones bought from Walmart for 10 dollars each adn buy 60 mins of credit for 20 dollars. You can use these to call anyone even the UK.
Yep! We brought two tracfones [Nokia 1600] from Walmart, came to £30 the pair with large amount of minutes on them, but the minutes only last a month.
    We found them invaluable!

Ours are on the NET10 network, means that all calls are 10cents or to Europe its 15 cents. I loved ringing my youngest Brat from Seaworld with the music from Shamu in the background!!!;)

    Hi guys,

I have noticed that the Disney passes are going up by approx 10% for 2009. I haven't noticed this sort of jump before but hope that someone knows where I may be able to purchase tickets at the present prices in advance.

I have 3 adults and 2 children to pay for so it all adds up to a lot of money for me.

    Cheers in advance:beer:

    Thanks for the reply.

No the price doesn't include tickets but I'm looking at the various website to find some decent discounts for advance purchase. Probably going to cost > £1000 total Any tips?
