Very Scary Times......

  • Well done on all your achievements.  Makes me feel tired just reading about how busy you always are LOL

Are the tomatoes really black?  I read somewhere about some new wonderfood, black tomatoes with cancer curing properties.  Might have been just another fake news story though!

DH has a 'thing' for weird and wonderful tomatoes.  We grow our own every year and he always tries new types every time.  He grew some dark purplish ones one year, they were called 'black cherry tomatoes' but they weren't proper black.  Tasted lovely though, really sweet and very small.  He grew some yellow ones last year but they didn't have too much taste to be honest.

I hope your sore throat and achiness soon passes.  It must  be a worry feeling rough at the moment as I expect we all tend to panic a bit if we develop some symptom that just possibly might be but probably isn't Covid-19.  At least you've had these same symptoms before and know the reason for them.  Take care xx

Thank you - lost my mojo a bit over the past couple of days. Been doing stuff still, but need to get myself going again.

The tomatoes weren't purely black, you could see some red patches coming through, but they were still pretty weirds to look at. Tasted quite nice though, especially in a cheese sandwich.

I still haven't started those surveys. I am 100% going to do 2 a day for the rest of this week, and then they will be finished on Friday. I did get a fairly big article written yesterday, and have done a small one today, so I have been getting some stuff done. I'm also up to date on the tomato focus group. They seem to be wrapping it up now, so unless there are any other topics they want to discuss, I should imagine it will finish soon. Still no payment from the other focus group. Really hoping that comes through this week.

I've done one of the surveys!!! Only 7 more to go. It was a bit quiet on the article front this morning, but I've just managed to grab one, so will get that done this afternoon. I've got physio at 11.30, so will start the article after lunch, and then aim to get another survey completed this evening. Need to clean my girls out at some point too, they might have to wait until tomorrow as it's a fairly big article (850 words).

Is it real physio you are having, Emz, or some sort of 'virtual' therapy?  Not sure how physio would work though without the therapist being with you.  Whatever it was, I hope it went well and you feel better for it.

I call it physio, but it's more like yoga or pilates to be honest. The physio does it on Zoom and runs through some strengthening exercises, stretches, cardio etc. She usually meets up with me at the gym or comes to my house to do it.

I got my 2 surveys done yesterday, so will do another 2 today, and got my article written too. I've already done an article this morning, and have just been sent a direct article to do this afternoon. Quite pleased as it's the first direct order I've ever received. Someone must have liked a previous article I did for them, so contacted me directly to write another one. You get paid more for direct articles too, and it's only a short one. I also picked up another article, but will save that one for tomorrow morning.

Looks like the tomato focus group has finished, but they haven't said as much. There just hasn't been any activities on there for the past couple of days. Still no payment from the other one. I wouldn't mind if they told us when to expect payment, plus I can't really remember how much it was for.

It's my niece's 13th birthday today. I got her presents sent to her before time, so I watched her open them on FaceTime this morning. She has met up with a friend today too (socially distancing in an open space), plus we're having a pizza party later. We're going to order pizzas at the same time and see who gets theirs first. We're then going to put some music on and eat them over FaceTime together.

Congratulations on the direct order from Textbroker.  You must be really good.  I did it for years and only ever had one direct order.  It was a real tiddler, the clients could easily have written it themselves  LOL

Your pizza party sounds fun.  Wonderful how inventive people can be so they can still  have fun and share occasions during lockdown.  Happy Birthday wishes to your niece.  It will certainly be a birthday she'll never forget, not just because she is now a teenager.

Thank you. She said she had a nice birthday, despite the lockdown. The pizza party was nice, although their Dominos is a lot better than ours as they got their pizza way before us. My nephew's birthday is on 1st August, so I wonder if I'll be able to see him in person then!! I'm a bit doubtful, but you never know.
