Got my 2 surveys done yesterday and the direct order. I've got one to write this morning (700 words) and will try and get another this afternoon. Will do 2 more surveys at some point too.

Grrr. Bit annoyed. One of the articles I wrote yesterday (not the direct one) came back saying it wasn't what they were looking for and they wanted it changing. Now the instructions they gave in the first place were very vague, but I followed them when I wrote it. They have now come back saying they wanted it from a different perspective, and acted like I should have known that in the first place, but they never said in their initial brief. I could have spent this afternoon completely rewriting it, but they have still given pretty vague instructions, so I think they probably won't be happy with it if I write it again. So I've cut my losses and cancelled the article. I don't mind clients asking for amendments, but they are usually just certain parts, and not the whole thing. Not worth my time and would rather just start something new.

Textbroker money has come through, so I paid it off the Curry's debt - £140.66 to go. Still no sign of that focus group money. I'm going to give it until Wednesday next week and then chase it up. That would be 2 weeks after the end of it, so I think that's reasonable. The tomato focus group has suddenly come to life again too. For some reason, the surveys I was completing isn't letting me into the final 4. Note to self: do them more quickly in future!! I will still get paid £12 for the surveys I did complete, so it's not a complete loss.
I had my direct order article and the one I wrote yesterday morning accepted, so that made me feel a bit better about the one I had to cancel. I've got a big article to write (1,500 words), so I'm going to do it over the course of today and tomorrow. I had that big Prolific survey come through too (part 2), so that's another £7.50 when it gets paid.

Just heard about the focus group that I'm waiting payment for. The payment is delayed because the client is saying that some people didn't take part fully, so don't want to pay everyone. They are trying to sort it out, and the people that didn't participate fully won't get paid in full. He said hopefully we'll get paid Tuesday. Luckily I know that I took part fully, so my payment shouldn't be a problem. It's a £70 payment and not the £90 I thought. Still good though!!

Well done on all you've got done this past few days. You've no idea how inadequate I feel sometimes when I read your diary!
I hope you get your full quota of focus group money. I haven't had my second part of that Prolific study yet but the email said they will all be sent out within the week. I know I was a few days later than you doing the first part. They also said it would be shorter than the first part and I hope it is!
Enjoy your weekend xx

If I don't get paid the full lot for that focus group, I will kick up a right stink!! I wrote really detailed answers and did everything they asked.
I felt that the 2nd part of that survey was a bit longer if anything. There's an extra task at the end. It's not too bad though.
Have a good weekend
