All up to date on my focus groups. I'm glad the main one ends on Wednesday, but I'm not to sure how long the other one goes on for. It's not nearly as in depth as the main one though. I hope I get paid quickly.

I did an article this afternoon, and I have got a massive one that has to be finished tomorrow. So will get my focus groups out of the way in the morning, and then get that done in the afternoon. Will be a nice boost to my funds this week if it gets approved before I have to put my pay claim in on Thursday. I also forgot that I am measuring my post for the next fortnight for the TNS surveys, so will get £5 for that towards the end of the month.

    Busy busy busy!!!

Bit more to add. In addition to my busy day, I've already completed just under £8 worth of Prolific surveys. My physio called me earlier too, which ate up half an hour.  I've completed the main focus group for today. Nothing has come up on the Tomato one yet, but I have been selected to conduct a product test for them, which I get an extra £5 for. I have no idea what I'll be testing (I have a slight hunch it might be to do with tomatoes!!), but I will find out by the end of the week.

Right, need to get that big article written by 6.30 this evening.

Got the article written. Hope it gets accepted now. I've had no tasks on the tomato focus group today, but I have just been accepted to another study of sorts. It's basically 2 lots of 4 surveys (so 8 in total) that take around 20 minutes each. I can do them one at a time, and I think I read it right that I'll get paid £24 for the lot. I've got until the middle of June to do them, and you don't get the money until July, but I'd rather get them done ASAP. I think I'll try and get 2 surveys done a day (1 morning and 1 afternoon), so I can get them finished on Saturday.

So it might be another busy day tomorrow. I've got the last day of the main focus group I'm doing, plus there might be something on the tomato one. I've got an article to write (only 450 words) and then I want to get 2 of those surveys done. Plus I've got physio at 11am for some more exercising via Zoom!! Oh yeah, and it's food delivery day tomorrow too.

Didn't get as much done as I wanted yesterday. Physio took longer than I expected and OH needed some help with his work. I did get an article written, and I've finished off the main focus group I was one, so hoping I get paid soon!! Didn't manage to get that group of surveys started either. That might be a weekend job when Textbroker is a bit more quiet. I've been paid for the big article I wrote the other day, so should get a nice Textbroker payment this week, and may even be able to get the Currys debt below £200.

I'm just catching up on the tomatoes focus group, and then I've got another big article to write this afternoon. People really infuriate me on this focus group. I'm writing full answers to their questions, and putting in some time and effort, whereas other people are writing 1 sentence responses, and missing off a load of questions completely. I really hope they don't get paid!! Shouldn't offer to do the groups if you don't want to put in the effort for payment.

    Rant over!!

Not ranting at all, Emz.  I totally agree with everything you said!  I think that's why I received an unexpected bonus of £50 (almost as much as the basic payment for the Fairtrade bananas study itself!) as they said it was  thanks for my very thoughtful and useful responses. I think a lot of people sign up for these things because they think it's easy money and that they can almost sleepwalk through the tasks.  Maybe their lack of effort comes back to bite them in that the recruiters may not invite them for any other groups in the future.

I received my £50 payment from PopulusLive the other day and  have now unsubscribed from this particular panel.  Takes me about 18 months to get up to payout level even though I respond to every survey invitation as soon as I get one. They are terrible for asking lots of preliminary questions before screening out.  I just can't be bothered wasting so much time  jumping through all the hoops to no avail every time.  YouGov is just as slow as far as reaching the £50 payout level goes but at least they don't screen out.

Woohoo!! Over £200. I've just had an email asking for my payment details for the focus group I finished on Wednesday, so fingers crossed I get that money soon too.  I've paid my Textbroker money off the Curry's debt, plus £35 I had in Paypal from Prolific surveys. So that now stands at £186.33.

I've had my test product for the other focus group. It was black tomatoes. Sound weird, but they are actually quite nice. I had one in a cheese sandwich for lunch and it hasn't got the sharp taste of a normal tomato. I've got another 5 that I've got to do something with. Might cook them with some pasta tomorrow. I had to film myself opening the box they were in so they could see my reaction. Wasn't best pleased about that, but just did it and sent it off without watching it back!!!

I'm feeling a bit rough today. Quite tired, achey and lethargic and I've got a sore throat. I think the achey feeling is from doing physio the other day, and my sore throat is because of some medication I'm on this month (I have it every other month and it always leaves me coughing more, with a sore throat and I sometimes lose my voice too). I'm really hoping that's all it is.

I've got an article to write, not a long one, so I'll do that and then try to relax for the rest of the day.

Thanks Lou. I do feel a bit better today, so hopefully it's nothing serious.

Got my article written yesterday and have done a short one today. I've also spent a lot of time today doing the product test and writing it up on that tomato focus group, so that's up to date too. I should imagine there won't be anything else to do on there until Monday now. I would really love to get that group of surveys completed before Monday, but I think that might drive me mad!! I'll aim to get at least 2 done today and then another 2 tomorrow and see how I feel about doing more. Want to get them out of the way really.
