The Prolific involved, among other tasks, a really long section on emotions shown on top and bottom half of faces.  Ring any bells?  My first payment of £7,50 has become payable already but as the whole 3-part study should only take about 3 weeks I might leave it until as near the  end of the month as possible and claim the lot in one go.

Shame Textbroker is so hit and miss for you at the moment.  You're doing really well regardless.  I never fancied doing Swagbucks myself, too many mixed opinions about it from others.  I used to like those tasks on Nectar (I think it was on there).  Only a few points a time but it involved watching short videos of people cooking and London Zoo for instance LOL.

Have a good and profitable week xx
That's the one!! I thought the surveys were coming in 3 week intervals, so 6 weeks in total, but I might be wrong. I love getting the surveys that have multiple parts as it's guaranteed income.

I remember the Nectar things. They were great. Used to get quite a few points watching those videos.

You're probably right about the frequency of the Prolific surveys. It's not unusual for me to get the wrong end of the stick!  I seem to have got the idea of 3 weeks from the initial invitation but it's probably 3 weeks between each part rather than 3 weeks in total.

Didn't get my Textbroker article written yesterday, but will do it this morning. I got up to date with the focus group, had my physio appointment, and I've kept up with my Swagbucks targets (don't know how long I'll be able to manage that though!!). The other article I had to rewrite yesterday came back for another amendment last night. Spent so long on that bloody thing, but I'm determined to get paid for it!!! Might block the client so I don't get them again.

Sorry your Textbroker client is being so picky.  That's one of the reasons I stopped doing it ages ago.  I know to my shame that  the articles that I had to dash off because of other things taking over my life (in a bad way) were accepted without any problems.  A couple of long ones that I  sweated blood over and was really pleased with came back for amendments a couple of times.  They paid eventually but it certainly wasn't a very cost-effective way of spending my time!  Whenever I see you mention Textbroker I start wondering whether I should have another go at it. Now I'm finally debt free and making every possible penny just to survive isn't my main preoccupation I've been putting it off.  Procrastination is a major character flaw of mine (embarrassed emoji).

It's my telephone focus group/interview this afternoon.  I'm hoping we have no technical problems.  EDIT:  Just finished it.  Really enjoyed it although it took longer than I expected.  Probably because I sure can rabbit !!!!

    Have a good day.

Glad that your interview went well. I hope they get your payment to you quickly. I'm certainly earning the payment for mine, the questions are very detailed!!!

I finally got that Textbroker article accepted, and yet the two I've done today were both accepted straight away. Maybe take a look at Textbroker and see if there's anything you fancy writing. Some of the ones I do I really struggle with, but others seem to write themselves. Although, you do have to keep a close eye on it, as the jobs go really quickly.

Think I'm all up to date now. I've done 2 articles today. They weren't that long, but at least I've done them. I've got an 800 word one lined up for tomorrow, so must get that done in the morning.

Sort of up to date on the focus group, but there is a question that we have 2 days to complete. Basically need to collect toiletries that we use from around the house and photograph them.

I've been accepted to another focus group that starts on Monday - on tomatoes!!!! Says I will get a £25 voucher at the end of it. Not sure what the voucher is for, probably Amazon.  I've kept up with my Swagbucks targets too.

  • Well done!  The tomato one sounds interesting.  I once did one about Fairtrade bananas and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable I ever did.  Not only that but I received a £50 bonus for the best submissions and most thoughtful responses.  That's never happened to me before so I was on cloud nine.  I was deep in debt at the time and the extra, unexpected money was a lifesaver.  I remember going straight out to fill up with petrol  (fill up rather than just top up with the minimum) and not having to worry about  the meter on the pump for the first time in years.

I was checking my Prolific account this morning and saw a message there from the person  responsible for the 3 -part £25 study  giving details about when the next questionnaires will be.  I expect all participants got this so it's probably there awaiting you too.

Nothing to report on the money making front really except I won a £25 prize with my Premium Bonds this month.

Well done on your Premium bonds win.

The banana focus group sounds interesting, and the £50 sounds like it came at the right time!! I'll let you know what my tomato one is like!!

Nothing further to add at the moment. I should get around £40 from Textbroker this week, but I'm guessing I won't get it until Monday because of the bank holiday. I'm finding I only have time to get one article written a day at the moment as the focus group is quite time consuming. I've done all of the tasks on there for today, but it has taken most of the morning. I like to give detailed answers so they can't say I haven't participated fully.

I did an article yesterday and have got another one lined up for today. Will get cracking with that in a minute. I'm also still up to date on Swagbucks, but haven't done today's target yet.

  • Just read yet another message on my Prolific account page from the host of the £25 3-part study.  Says they have decided to extend the timeframe of the study with longer between parts.  The final section for the £10 bonus won't be until sometime in June!
