Awww, Katy-Ann, sorry to hear that. I hate the deceit of affairs. He's been found out, you have done the right thing in terms of keeping your self respect. Welcome back - we are good at 'keeping people going' on here. Looking after yourself & your little son is the important thing now xx2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Greetings Frugalistas,
A decent day today with some useful stuff achieved. mr f has taken a day owed from his work & so we've taken the opportunity to get a few things from the 'Annoying Jobs' list cleared plus done a bit of planning.
Money saving things today:
*Treated ourselves to coffee in our favourite indie coffee shop but shared a toasted teacake to save a little on our 'Personal Spends'.
*Stuck to shopping list in town & we were pleased to find that most of the toiletries we needed were half price or on offer.
*Used an 'extra points' voucher in the local 'Co-op'.
*Picked up free 'Boots' Health & beauty mag.
*Withdrew £232 from our Paypal account.
*Did next week's meal plans.
*Updated my bullet journal dailies with tasks which need doing before now & Christmas.
*Posted 3 ebay parcels (a total of 9 sold items)
*Chased a non-payer.
*Did overnight laundry on cheap tariff. On heated airer as too cold here today to peg out.
*mr f mended my Fitbit charger with free glue.
*Did a few surveys.
*Tweaked meal plans for the rest of this week to make things work better for us.
*Mix up sourdough for baking tomorrow (still to do).
*Round up veggies which need using to go in tonight's spicy rice, which will accompany batch-cooked roasted aubergine curry from freezer.
NOT money saving - Lighting the fire 2 hours earlier than usual to stop cat mithering. He sat nibbling my leg until I gave in & lit it. I get that he loves to be warm, but he doesn't pay the bills, does he!!!
*Update my DFW diary - not yet done but imminent.
*Knit later.
Hope poorly folk are feeling better today.

Evening all

So sorry to hear your news Katy_Ann
Take care, and stay with us.
Natlie, I couldn't find any currants either  Made do with other stuff, but was only making for family.
Annoyed on your behalf HK, fancy their losing all your information. Good luck with your complaint
Still coughing, survived the day with naughty baby GS, who apparently only grizzles and climbs up my leg constantly, doesn't do this with anyone else
Went to DD's house instead of having GS here, to see if it made any difference, but it didn't really. Only 2 more long days thank goodness, and hope he grows out of this behaviour soon! We do have some fun when he isn't grizzling though!
Nothing else done really, although OH has excelled himself today and done the hoovering and cooked the dinner while I was at DD's :A
Took GS for a walk in his pushchair this afternoon, free exercise and a bit of peace, as he likes being pushed out
Not spent anything
RM surveys stuff done
Fire alight, nice and cosy

katy_ann that sucks, truly and deeply. What a twonk that he would not protect what you had. Easy for me to say but in time you will find something much better, what's meant for you won't go past.
And in the coming days and weeks just take each day as it comes. I think it was Elizabeth Taylor who said when everything crumbles, you just hold your head up and just keep putting one foot in front of the other (or words to that effect) You'll come through this xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all

Awake half the night from coughing, so up early (already on my second coffee, done a quick tidy round, have texted my brother to tell him to come and pick up his washing, let the dog out and sorted a few items to put on ebay later when it is light enough to take decent photos).
Determined to get some stuff done, so today's plans:
Cheapie porridge breakfast
Trip to next town, visit market and flea market. I want to buy a few plants for my front garden pots, but don't intend to spend more than £3 or so, as I can use mainly what I have. Also need some boring stuff such as loo rolls.
List above mentioned items on ebay
Make a spinach and feta filo pie for dinner, to use up garden spinach
Triage fridge and plan the next few days' meals to make sure everything gets used up.
Pay month's milk bill, which is only £8.44, and annual car insurance, which is considerably more
There will be more, back later to update

Morning Dawn and all who follow :hello: hope that coughing stops soon, Dawn and you get some sleep. I've been awake for ages too as DH left early. Katy-Ann sorry to hear you are going through the mill. Stick with us
My list for today:
Something from freezer for tea
Smalls lunch box from left overs in fridge
Make some biscuits/post school snacks
Vacuum through
Load a wash for tonight on cheap
Check banking
Upload last document to mortgage people
Pop to £ shop for a few bits
Wear bobble hat on school run = no hair wash :rotfl:
Make a note in my journal of a few items I've ordered for various things, so I can tick them off when they arrive as there seems to be a huge variety in delivery times and quality of service
WFH, aim to get through lots so I can leave work at a reasonable time tomorrow
Appreciate there are loads of deals around at the moment but if any of you are sausage lovers, check out

Today is the last of my stint of shifts :j over the last 7 days I have done 6 x 12 hour shifts with 1 day off in the middle  But will be off for 5 days after today :j predictably everything is crumbling at home
