Thanks for starting us off Purps :)
I'm full of cold again
    Still ploughing on though:
Washed hair and left to dry naturally
    Restocked sales unit
Brought unsold stuff back and put it away immediately (OH made me cross, and marching up and down 2 flights of stairs with numerous boxes just about stopped me from murdering him lol  :rotfl:)
Bit more frantic cleaning / tidying (see above)

Small shop in Lidl this afternoon, will need to go elsewhere tomorrow as I couldn't get most of what was on my list :(

Cooked salmon for dinner, used up last 4 new potatoes, and left over cooked veg from yesterday, which were fine reheated :)
OH has since redeemed himself somewhat by cleaning the cooker....

  • Morning all :hello: sorry for your loss browneyed_girl thoughts are with you.

Up early as I had a nightmare that woke me with a start  I've been productive though doing a few jobs I didn't get too yesterday and reconciling bank account and just for points credit card :o no need for heating, although it's a bit fresh - I have a blanket, coffee and my cat purring away on my lap acting like a breathing hot water bottle :rotfl:

    My list for today:

Tea in sc, using up a packet mix I bought in a bundle with something I wanted, also using some ys potatoes I bought several weeks ago that are still going strong
Washing shuffle when radiators come on
Some sewing later if I have the inclination :o
    Triage fridge
    Update bulletin journal
Use shampoo and soap bar in shower
Put load of washing on cheap tonight

Think that's about it with another long work day ahead, although I will be getting lunch on them today :T have a good day. Purps.

Pay Day - If i'm frugal I should make it to the next payday without any overspend - issues with this are mine and DH birthday 8th and 10th Dec, its my 40th and i am worried my family are going to want to do something, my mum has already suggested that we go to a food fair near her, which means she isn't coming up to visit (she lives 2 hrs away)

I've also got to pick my daughter up from her dads place in Bristol. Fortunately the majority of xmas shopping is done, I will need to food shop - but saved up all my expenses claims which will be paid in December and I won a crate of wine last year so that covers any emergency gifts

    today:

supposed to have a meeting - might be cancelled so working at home just in case as the meeting is closer to home and it saves me travel money Ha meeting cancelled went shopping only spent £4.99 on a shirt for DS fo crimbo

    switched off sockets
    mades kids packed lunches
did fridge audit, threw out some old value spaghetti hoops found at back of fridge, bin day today just food and recycling so need to check its all out I think the less boxes outside the house around xmas the better

    Dishes are on
    Load of towels on

I put 14 things on eBay last night 1 has a bid already

    Still chasing invoice payments :(

    Have a good day all

    Hi November Networkers,

Morning!:coffee: Day off. :) DW and I are heading to Edinburgh today. :D DW wants to look around the Decemberfest Market and there are a couple of free galleries that are always worth a look.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Get some exercise. Walking around the city.

    * Take the cheapest option for transport which is driving 1.5 hours to the Park and Ride and getting the tram. Would have liked to have gone all the way by train....but not at £28 per ticket! I can drive there on £15 of fuel and £3.20 per tram ticket.

Things don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.

    Morning folks

natalie - we have all the best birthdays - mine is the 9th Dec

Got all my list done last night and feeling relatively chipper today! Blimey I had this written for ages and haven't posted.

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • OH to do housework
    • Put veg boxes out for veg man - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Gym at lunchtime - nope! my boss helpfully dumped a crucial time-dependent thing on me and then effed off the gym himself!
    • Get OH to do second coat of paint
    • OH has been paid - done
    • No alcohol (unless I have a Baileys hot choc later...)
    • No cakes etc
    • Minimal heating/heating off
    • Knit sock
Will add more as I go

    Have a good one all

Browneyedgirl - Sorry to hear about your family loss - my best wishes.

    Morning all,
Oh bah to today! I woke up with a horrid headache. Painkillers have failed to shift it. I think it's one of those type of headaches that suddenly lift when they're good & ready & not before. Have done a fair bit this morning, but intend to retire to the sofa after lunch with a bit of tv. Anyway, frugal stuff as follows:
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Cancelled going out tonight because of headache so decided no need for straightners - I don't mind looking nicely witchy when I'm at home.
*Made dough for tonight's pizza & a batch of cobs.
*Remembered to take tomorrow's meal out of the freezer.
*Overnight laundry done on cheap tariff - rainy here today so it's on the heated airer. Timer set for another cheap load tonight.
*Wrote a letter - stamp from stash.
*Wrapped 2 ebay parcels - I'm doing well for sales atm, but this one needed a lot of concentration as I invoiced the buyer 3 times....each time he put in offers for further items, until finally I called a halt to it by saying I needed to post this lot, then any additional purchases could go separately when the auctions are up. All wrappings are from my recycled stash.
*Ordered fish box from wholesaler - delivery next week. Had to put transaciton on my CC but this is only a 'holding' situation until payday, as I has wrongly assumed that this fish delivery would not appear until December's budget. No problems though & we will have fish to take us into new year.
    *Entered a prize draw.
*Continued compiling tomorrow's job list as mr f has offered to help with anything I need to do - intend to start with town-based jobs, then things that need doing at home.
*A welcome email received today from energy provider to say we are overpaying, so our monthly DDs will drop from January 2019.
    *Update dfw diary - imminent.
OK, that's it for today - am not firing on all cylinders with this silly headache. Hopefully it will disappear at some point today.
    Love to all,
    F x

Browneyed - sorry to hear of your families loss.
Dawn & Foxgloves, hope you're feeling better.
I feel for those with December birthdays!

    Todays list
:D Free breakfast at school for ds
:D Gym class done and refilled water bottle twice
:D My parents came for brunch, we had omelettes, ratatouille, spinach and mushrooms which all needed using
:D Washed 2 loads on the quick 30 degree wash
:D One load out on the line as it windy but very cold here.
:D Switched dss alarm off at the wall (microwaves/ovens etc always turned off when not in use, as I don't need the clocks on them for the time)
:D Dishwasher on the quick wash
:D Moved lots of furniture around in various rooms to give it a fresh look and have the front room where the kids have their games consoles etc set out for how they currently play.

    To do
    ;) Check banking/update spreadsheet Done
;) Apply amzn gift voucher I've had through from TCB Done
;) Leftovers for tea tonight Done and enough left for tomorrow too, if I pad it out a little ;D
;) Make sure I get food out for tomorrow from the freezer (and update the inventory)Not needed ^^
    ;) Radiator shuffle Done
;) Make families lunches for tomorrow Done
;) Check xmas shopping list and update, think I'll be ready for wrapping next week

Right that will do as its getting late and I don't have a lot of time before the school run so I better make the most of it!
:A Downloaded the free financial education textbook pdf as seen in the :money: email
:A I've done a couple of swag$s surveys to get to a payout threshold, just wondering if they'll discount them before xmas??? hmmm will think on this one, I've got out of the habit of doing the surveys but it wasn't too bad thankfully

    Take care all.

    Afternoon /evening all :)
Still feeling carp, and still intent on achieving at least something!
CLF, my baby GS will be 1 on 9 December :heart2:
    So, today:
Sorted RM surveys stuff for the week
Cancelled dental hygienist appointment due to breathing issues  I am having to use my inhaler a lot atm, and the thought of having stuff done in my mouth for 20 mins or so is a bit

Annoyingly, I can't get another one till after Christmas, but it is what it is :(
Walked to vet's (takes about 5 mins) to pick up wormer and flea pills for micro mutt. No additional cost, as it is covered under his monthly pet club membership. Administered with the aid of small bits of cheese - though he will just eat them if the veterinary nurse gives them to him :rotfl:
Finished shopping at Aldi and Waitrose (I needed a bag of compost which is cheap there)
Helped at the shop where my sales unit is based this afternoon.
Babysitting tomorrow, but I am going to go to DD's house rather than her bring the baby here - hopefully that will be easier!
