    Afternoon /evening all :)
Still feeling carp, and still intent on achieving at least something!
CLF, my baby GS will be 1 on 9 December :heart2:
    So, today:
Sorted RM surveys stuff for the week
Cancelled dental hygienist appointment due to breathing issues  I am having to use my inhaler a lot atm, and the thought of having stuff done in my mouth for 20 mins or so is a bit

Annoyingly, I can't get another one till after Christmas, but it is what it is :(
Walked to vet's (takes about 5 mins) to pick up wormer and flea pills for micro mutt. No additional cost, as it is covered under his monthly pet club membership. Administered with the aid of small bits of cheese - though he will just eat them if the veterinary nurse gives them to him :rotfl:
Finished shopping at Aldi and Waitrose (I needed a bag of compost which is cheap there)
Helped at the shop where my sales unit is based this afternoon.
Babysitting tomorrow, but I am going to go to DD's house rather than her bring the baby here - hopefully that will be easier!

all the best birthdays! It sounds like you might have the same lurgy as I had. It was a doozy.

  • I agree lots of good people's birthday's in Dec! My dd's is a few days before xmas day <3

Ok just a quickie. I've got to leave earlier this morning as am going to an assessment first thing and being picked up by a colleague at 7.15 the next road along. Meaning I have to leave here at 7.10  (normally I leave at 7.50) weirdly though I didn't get up any earlier and am almost ready with 20 mins left

    Small things:

    * check onepoll
    * all of food is ready, apart from porridge I'll make in a couple of minutes :D
    * do a load of washing & hang up tonight
    * put away washing mountain
    * tidy up bathroom drawers. One is swimming in water
    * had a quick shower and have tied hair up in a bun (so didn't need to wash it ;) )
    * read newsletter
    * contact bff and find out if prebirthday get together on Friday is everyone included or just girls
    * call up neurology dept and find out what is going on with missed appt last week
    * knitting tonight - haven't done any for a few days. Must get on if I'm to get this and another pair done before xmas....

Ok that's me. Might be some more as the day goes on....

  • Hope all you poorlies are feeling better today. I've a decent (2-3 hour drive) to a meeting and back today but I do get lunch provided :D

    My list for today:
Hang washing done overnight on airer
Take a meter reading as we've been on new supplier 10 days and see if starts to make pretty graphs on my account :T
Take a hot drink for the journey and some snacks
Check banking, update sheet. Have paid £54 of cashback to my savings :A
Check some other cash back has tracked - ordered cat food online for first time. Z00plus has the stuff they can't lick the jelly off on offer at the moment £20.99 for 88 pouches, with an extra 5% off your first order, 3% cb and free delivery :T
Meals from stores, it'll be leftovers all round
I worked very late last night and have already done another report and sent it this morning, so tonight will be about relaxing with mr PF :D
Book an order for council to collect our old sofa, we're not going to pay the £44 to have it removed as part of delivery of the new one, when the council will do it for free. We would gift it but it's past any use to anyone.

Have a good day folks. Purps.

    Morning folks!

OH didn't cook again yesterday (he has a habit of really fancying dinner out when it's his turn to cook  )but we did have a nice fun dinner out and it was from a budgeted pot.

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores - I almost succumbed but ended up with emergency staple of beans on toast
    • Charge phone in work
    • No alcohol - def not as have taken my medication
    • No cakey things
    • Gym at lunch time (come hell or high water) - cruddy but done!
    • Knit sock
    • Heating on timer for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening
    • Poss make a lemon drizzle cake if am feeling very chirpy. If not, tomorrow morning.
    • Poss give window a second coat of paint
    • Entered Halifax prize draw - open to anyone with over £5k of savings with them - done
    • Enter local radio comp for free by doing it on secret online form for free instead of paying £1.50 by text - done
    • Bring veg box in from outside as OH forgot yesterday! - done
    • Sort out veg box and fridge things that need fridging
    • Took meter readings and added to app (despite having a smart meter, the app is wrong unless I update it!) - done
    • Nip to B&M for BBQ sauce and brown sauce as much cheaper than SM.
    Have a good one all

  • Natlie I'm involved in a sports league that includes people living with dementia. It's amazing I love it. There is nothing better when someone has looked at you for 3 hours blankly and then it's like somebody flicks a switch and the person suddenly says 'i remember you, u were here last time'. The group walk will be brilliant

CLF I want to go out for dinner now!! Have been living off soup as I've not fancied anything else
DawnW I can't believe ur baby GS is 1 next month. I remember u posting when u were waiting for him to arrive. Crumbs that has gone quick.

I've been productive and parcelled up some charity auction items and have used RM stamps for posting them.
Out for 2 meetings today. Still have a lovely temp, the hard core med is nasty but I'm going stir crazy staying indoors.
I've had to contact higher powers to put an official letter of complaint into the health board after finding out that they have lost all the medical evidence sent in by the GP to support my funding application. All my medical evidence currently awol so put wheels in motion to go official again but more powerful this time.
Really need to sort out the items for the charity shop and clothes for recycling
Living room is still a mess, must get it sorted
When DD comes home she is desperate to put the decs u-now planned for next weekend so living room is becoming a priority even though we haven't got a settee and still need to decorate-still saving for the full works.
That's about it from me, can't think of anything else, all very quiet at the minute

Have a great day everyone x

    Morning all,
Nat, I get spotty when stressed!
Hk, sounds like you're having a tough time :grouphug:
CLf, my dh used to suggest eating out on his night to cook when we first lived together, he wouldn't let me pay but I definitely paid for it on my waist line
PF, sounds like a very long day! I hope you get a nice evening with Mr PF
Dnms, I always worry about what I've forgotten to do if we are ready to leave early in a morning!

    Todays list
:D ys bread for ds1 with his scrambled eggs for breakfast
:D made sure all sockets that can be off, are off
:D ds2 to free school breakfast club
:D gym session done and water bottle refilled twice
:D ran the dishwasher on the quick 30 degree wash
:D put away washing that had dried in the hour the radiators were on last night and the half hour this morning
:D popped into aldeee as we needed milk and I just bought milk :T
    :D rm surveys

    To do
;) run the washing machine on the quick 30 degree wash :A
;) hang the clothes on radiators for tonight :A
;) iron dh's work shirts that are now dry :A
    ;) empty dishwasher :A
    ;) check banking/update spreadsheet :A
;) hoover round, just where needs doing (will sweep the kitchen and hallway instead)
;) clean kitchen and bathroom using stardrops
;) clean my car rather then pay someone else to do it :A
;) get Christmas cards out ready to start writing them a few at a time

Thats my starter, have a good day all.
:A Sorted out all the Tupperware boxes we have as I know a couple have broken recently (unfortunately the ones which were the best size for dh's lunch's) The cupboard looks all nice and they don't all fall out when you open the door anymore
:A Watching :money: money program from last night on catch up whilst pottering, I really need to get dh up to speed with our finances as I have always looked after them but he wouldn't have a clue where to start if I suddenly wasn't here. :(
:A Sewn up a little hole that I spotted in my pajamas as I took them out of the washing machine yesterday.

    Hiya guys

Sorry I've been AWOL for sometime, only posting now and again. I've had such a terrible couple of months, I found out that my husband has been having an affair, which came completely out the blue and hit me like a bus and much as I tried to carry on and be "normal" I was dying inside.

I kicked him out, so now its just me and DS at home. We are having to sort out so much. I can't trust him again, he's done things in the past where I've questioned him and my trust in him went a long time ago, I can't forgive him and he says that he is not in love with me anymore, so to cut a long story short, we are getting divorced and selling our flat.

I'm terrified about the future, where I'm going to live when the flat sells, money etc and everything else but I know this is the best thing for me and my son :)

So anyway, I've had time to come to terms with things a bit more now and have decided this is the perfect time to get my finances and life in order! So I'm back here to get my life sorted!

I don't have much of a list for today as I've had a friend and her son over for a play date with the kiddies but I've got a few bits done!

    - Wash towels and tumble dry - Done
    - Clean kitchen sides and cupboard doors - Done Zoflora country garden, lush!
    - Hoover the living room and hallway
    - Check banking - Things are massively tight now that I'm by myself
    - I need to go onto my universal credit account and see if there is any progress with my claim

I think that's about all for today! I will definitely be back tomorrow to check in!

I hope everyone else is well :) x
