  • Morning All, I have some catching up to do with housework. Plans this evening are:
Ironing - will take at least an hour

Sweep floor in kitchen and living room.

    Wipe down surfaces in kitchen.

    Finalise writing Christmas cards.

I also have some time today to take an extended lunch at work so I am going to try and finalise my main Christmas gifts then too.

    Have a great day everyone.

I'm back, at long last. Will try and catch up on the news as soon as I have a minute.

Have straightened the sitting room, cleared out the roller on the vacuumm cleaner and am about to shove a load in the WM. It's going to be a Flying day. Lovely J will be here in a bit and I've bought her favourite cherry pie to ease us through the housework.
    Better is good enough.

I have eaten the second frog - the GASDS claim was finished by 7.30 am!
I have also set up the Excel files that I need for recording all donations to church for the next 6 months, and brought them up to date.
I have decluttered 1.5 lb at SW, bringing me back to a total of 4 stone off in 3 years. I'd still like to drop another half stone, but this is good for the time time being.
And I have given out a few more invitations to my drop-in birthday party next week - there will be cake (so I might not be at minus 4 stone for long!) All Flyladies welcome, if you happen to be in this area!

Now I must plod on with decorating...

It's lovely to have you back, HB.

The downstairs toilet, kitchen, dining room and utility room have been cleaned within an inch of their lives, including windows. Much needed. I have cleaned the microwave (well the lemon induced steam has), cleaned the cooker, flung soda down the plugholes, and am waiting for the floors to dry a bit. Because of course I forgot to make the cuppa before I trapped the kettle in the far wet corner.

My friend has had to cancel lunch due to illness, so I'm now planning the rest of my day. As it happens I am now waiting for a delivery to arrive. It's the vegetable seeds for next year, so hopefully money well spent. I think upstairs gibble rehoming and a bin bag dance for the cs might be in order.

Back from work and eating a late lunch. It's cold and rainy and I don't feel like flying so I'll be finishing off paperwork and doing some treasurer work.

Dining room given a thorough clean, second load twirling in the WM and various little heaps of grot sorted, filleted and those bits that were worthwhile hanging on to have been tided away to where they belong. Superking changed with J's help (soooo much easier) and she then dusted and vacuummed the whole house so I could concentrate on horrible jobs that have needed doing for months.

I've also spot cleaned the dining room carpet and sorted two more drawers the freezer, hoicked out a load of food for the next three days and meal planned around what we've got, instead of spending half an hour dreaming up what we might want to eat and then going out and buying it. Far too much of that's been going on lately. I have masses and masses of beef in there, far more than I realised. Madness.

Must phone the dishwasher engineer. It seems to be completely dead.
    Better is good enough.

Oh don't mention rodents roaming round the house (I should say WILD rodents - pet ones are fine). We have a dancing one in the loft. Noise suggests rats; evidence suggests mouse. Poison put down, found dead rat in pond outside kitchen. 2 nights of peace then more clattering. .

We have squeaky loft dancers too.. they scurry about but so long as they stay up there I am a happy chicken!

radiator guy didn't turn up like he promised.. ggrrrr....

I have however done pot wash catch up, laundry catchup, dead leaved the plants, hacked off the weird growth on the amaryllis and put it to sleep in the middle room.

I cannot find the dress I have sold on ebay.. ggrrrrr
I need to collect prescriptions from chemist.. and sort details for getting DS3's 'fine' cancelled.. he was named on my tax credits as a dependent in FT eductaion so it is just a waste of time I had already spoken to the NHS people about it.

I need to print off loads of stuff.. which is a huge faff..

    1, NHS fine stuff
    2, Student finance stuff
    3, CB stuff
    4, umpteen CV's
5, amazon return label.. I bought a cat bed.. they send a ferret bed.. it is very cute but way too tiny for my big furry boneheads!

I shall aim to get that done later.. best pudding the pinks then they can be flung in their nests!

  • Sounds like everyone has been busy; except me.:o

I didn't get up until 9am and the day ran away with me. I am going to clean the kitchen floor now. The dining room will have to wait; it's a not often used room as we have a table in the kitchen too and I think Flylady would call the whole room a hotspot.:o One to work on I think.
