We are not the vile OTT American Flylady site.. it is horrid.. the emails alone from there are a full time job! Most of us looked there and ran away screaming.
Here, you decide your own dailies list.. what is important to you?
We have the daily list on post 1 and you do what you can or are able to do or all of it.. people here have different levels of ability, fit in around crazy lives and full time jobs and volunteer work and allsorts else.
We offer support for real life goings on, friendship, hugs, motivation and a chance to offload..

OH is going in the bin.. He is incapable of completing a simple task... so now I have to fit a DW, sort the leaks and do everything myself.. on less than 2 hours sleep!

Hi, Flyfolks all.
I'm as "in" as my beastly painful back will allow. I may need to do a hankie wash, as the blasted thing is so bad it's almost making me cry most days.
Ah well - Snoozy Suzie will be here on Wednesday, so I have today and Tuesday to transform a midden into a hotel fit for Princess Pretty-Paws. Mr Wolf has kindly vacced the entire bungalow. :A
Also I have a Meet'n'Greet visit with a whippet and a whippet cross on Sunday.
I strayed a bit from the No Spend last week; I used £30 of my accumulated @mazon vouchers to buy a bed rail for Mr Wolf's side of the bed, as he keeps falling out. Thus far it's saved his bruised bot and equally bruised ego at least twice. Those who have experience, is this something we should expect with Parkinson's?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Welcome Shirlgirl. Just do what you can.
I'm forever doing my own agenda.
Yesterday did a downstairs-vacuum everywhere, having done much of upstairs on Sat.
Enthused with my study declutter last week, I have sorted out another boxfull, much of which my teaching friend is happy to have.
Went to gym this morning, usual Body Balance instructor off and the replacement one did all balance activities (usually it is a mix of yoga, tai chi and pilates) so by the next class (clubbercise) I felt like a bit of chewed string.
Picked up friend from church as our local C0 0p has generously offered us any past-sell-date flowers for our arrangements, so we went to thank them and have a chat.
Posted letter and parcel.
Filled Bird feeders.
Washed up.
Mr N getting on well with decorating tho it's taking longer than expected. By Wed we will be onto glossing things I can reach, so we should get done quicker.
Have booked a Valentine's dance in Blackpool! Very excited, I dropped the hint but didn't keep asking as he still struggles at our dance class. However he gave the go-ahead and I've already found RSPB sites nearby so have assured him that the dance will only be a small part of the 3-day weekend.
Off to book b&B now while there are still sales and room.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Shirlgirl where are my manners? Welcome aboard.
I'm one who just has to do what they can, when they can, due to health issues. There's no recriminations if you don't get everything on the list done; indeed, I can't remember the last time I actually followed the list.
What you will get here is all the encouragement and support you could possibly wish for.
Froddy *waves* give the wee ratties a cuddle from their Auntie Wolfy. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Various loads of washing done in a variety of homes.
Took dancepops to his last falls exercise class and sorted his medication.
Rang to rearrange an official appointment in other city which would have made me get DS2 out of the house before 7am. Can’t have a home visit due to health and safety risk (I mentioned VCB on his form). Appointment is now in our nearest city at a later time and a friend is coming too
Attended a tapathon event yesterday and off to tap later this evening if I can manage it. I still have a chesty thing going on.
GP apparently gave us the wrong flu jabs so we are supposed to have another. Sounds a bit strange.0 -

Depends on what he's doing at the time. If he's trying to turn over, it makes sense that he's not able to catch himself or tense his muscles sufficiently to stay on the bed.
HOWEVER - as I'm more than happy to share something that happened in my teens...
My first proper boyfriend. Standard 4'6" bed. He was fairly tall and [strike]bulky[/strike] was turning into a right porker from eating cheese sandwiches, chips and cake all day, every day. He reached over and started stroking my shoulder at about 2.30am. I pretended to be asleep. So he decided to *ahem* take matters into his own hands, IYSWIM. Silently cringing, I stayed 'asleep'.
Right at a crucial point, he realised he needed to be somewhere else, but, due to the obvious distraction, wasn't concentrating upon where he was putting his *other* hand.
He missed the side of the bed and fell out with the biggest THUD I'd ever heard, faceplanting into the carpet. At least I think the sound was his face hitting the floor first.
At this stage, I couldn't stay 'asleep' any longer and had to ask him if he was alright. 'Yeah', he says, 'Must have had a bad dream'.
He never, ever tried to wake me up again.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
FIL is being a d***head and is now back in his midden, refusing all contact from SS, Home Helps, the Emergency Call Button people, Physio or his Medical Team. He's going to have to get on with it, as if he's determined to waste the next ten to twenty years of his life by trying to starve/break a hip/have yet another stroke rather than be relatively healthy and do what they say, I'm certainly not bankrupting myself in financially supporting Himself going down there to enable him to do so.
I had no clean clothes for work this morning because I apparently failed to tell Himself that the clothes I took off last week and put in the linen bin (upon his instruction) needed to be washed. Should I get a s*dding flagpole and raise a Standard to say 'Manky knickers and socks in here. Please wash them'?
The cooker has gone pouff. We have no money (thanks to the costs of ^^^^ and Himself being psychologically unable to even consider looking for work because he was expecting to have to go back down there at short notice and is now worrying himself stupider than normal because he'e now expecting a call for another hospital admission or death). So it can't be replaced. Work is insanely busy. The cats are idiots. Children are annoying (except the five 'naughty' ones who dropped what they shouldn't have been doing in the first place to help me when I dashed down the corridor squawking that something involving a lot of heavy lifting and shifting I'd been promised would be done ready for lunchtime because I was physically unable and physically didn't have the time to even think about it myself had been forgotten. I quite like them at the moment.). My head is fried.
And now Himself is asking me to decide what for and precisely how I want him to cook dinner. I DON'T CARE. Just do it.
And why has my single, emergency, premixed can of Gin & Tonic miraculously disappeared from the fridge whilst I've been at work?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Shirlgirl welcome I don't fully follow ths lists but I do use them as a guideline.
