Hi All,
Have just joined the OFTM FB Group and lo and behold new info has appeared that backs up what I've though all along, namely, OFTM has deplorable legal advice, particularly when it comes to Contract Law.
Anyhow, here's the pst which should be of interest to all of you are the figures quoted are startling:
"****NEWS FLASH****
A disgruntled manager from OFTM (still employed ) has confidentiality contacted us & told us the following :
As of Wednesday this week, they have a backlog of 10 thousand ( yes 10,000 ) unanswered e-mails & complaints.
We have also been told that there are only a total of about SIXTY ( yes 60 ) employees working in the whole building over all departments. ( spread over all three energy companies ....they are pooling resources )
With half of them NOT CUSTOMER FACING ....leaving only 6 answering e-mails .... 6 answering phones....6 in the accounts dept.
NONE in debt collection or debt recovery.
Keith Bastian’s DAUGHTER is a law graduate, fresh out of uni, & THEIR ONLY LEGAL ADVISOR !!"
You realise that anyone can post any nonsense on Facebook. It might be true, it might not.0 -
It is actually very easy to see exactly what OFTM is doing.
Please explain for those of us not intelligent enough to see this. Please also bear in mind that many of the customers affected are already £100's in credit and are still having their payments increased & messed around with, and Outfox are failing to respond to requests to either refund the credit or lower the DD to a sensible amount.
I emailed them on 16th November with meter readings, as requested. Still no response.
Meanwhile they continue to take higher payments for an already heavily in credit account.0 -

........And the other 42 are working full time reporting and responding to bad reviews on TrustPilot :rotfl:

Same goes for a forum?
It's not the same, as users here have posted pages of evidence which is almost identical across the board in terms of % increases together with email data vs 1 post on FB? Unless mse has setup an elaborate troll farm we have some reliable data in this thread to make solid conclusions.0 -

I already explained it in the post which you yourself quoted in part. No further comment from me is necessary. Here's that post again"It is actually very easy to see exactly what OFTM is doing. To recap, OFTM customers will pay more in Winter when their bills are higher and less in summer when their bills are lower. That's prepaying energy along the lines of Powershop whose customers buy their energy in advance. Perhaps the only thing missing with OFTM is the discount Powershop customers get if they buy more energy.
It's distinct from for example EDF which uses meter readings to forecast energy usage over the next 12 months and then divides the total by 12 to calculate the monthly DD under their budget scheme. That's the scheme I'm on with the EDF Easy Online Dec 2019 fix.0 -

And you ignored the part about Outfox ignoring customers who are already massively in credit, and have been requesting either their payments recalculated or a refund of some of their credit.
If customers have already built up a credit balance during the summer that will more than cover their increased winter payments, why are Outfox not addressing this?0 -
@wild666,
It was just a copy and paste from FB Group, which I then added italics too, which is regular publishing practise when reproducing material from another publication - it stops accusations of plagiarism.0 -
Just a word to the wise in relation to the CEO's daughter, qualified, pupillage or not I would refrain from comments about her fitness to practice. You can still commit libel on a public forum and the damages for lost earnings could be significant0
