Standing charge cost is a joke at £204.40
No doubt OFTM hope all customers read the email incorrect like Norman Castle0 -
It's £10 per month extra do the maths the old membership system was for both fuelsNorman_Castle wrote: »So assuming dual fuel thats £3 per month extra and not £10.
Should expect MSE and Martin to be all over this ..........
Obviously they are in dire straights like some have suggested earlier0 -
Fair enough. I only get electricity from them so wouldn't know.BedrockFred wrote: »It's £10 per month extra do the maths the old membership system was for both fuels0 -

There is/was a single membership fee with Outfox, governed by you (estimated) electricity usage.
Likely to change again soon, but for now..

As others have pointed out, a single £7 charge is being replaced by a £16.80 combined charge. That is almost £10.The membership fee is only for electricity supply.0 -
OMG - OFTM are beyond hopeless. How can they change their business model so many times in 2 weeks. They have not even answered the complaints from last week yet. A few people said they would hang on because the price was still good and the membership model worked for them. Now I guess those people will move as well. Of 100,000 customers I wonder how many have processed a switch? This must be costing a fortune in customer servicing making the model even worse. Anyone running a book on when they go bust?0

Definitely had enough now, even British Gas will be cheaper for me from January... Never thought I'd say that!
One question, people have posted copies of this latest email and I notice the new rates are different for everyone. I assume its down to what tariff you are on, but possibly worth checking....
I'm on Zapp medium user, my new rates from January are:
Electric: £0.1324/kWh
Gas: £0.0426/kWh
Are other peoples figures the same?
The 2 posts on the previous page show completely different increased figures.0 -
The latest email certainly screams panic cash grab to me.0

That's hilarious. No implication intended, rather a statement of fact: the most dishonest, sly, underhanded, greedy bunch of thieves I've ever encountered. I've met pickpockets with more integrity than OFtM. At least pickpockets don't steal your wallet and then try to pretend it was a mistake and they were doing it to help you out. To quote a review on TrustPilot "At least D Turpin wore a mask." Quite.I feel some of the previous comments have implied dishonesty by OFTM .0 -
