I800 brought but never told it was from a hire complany

I purchased an ex-hire car, also an ex Enterprise car, that had around 35K on a one and a half year old car.
I was suspicious it was a hire car before I saw it as the dealer had lots with similar registrations. The logbook showed ERAC with I googled in the showroom to confirm Enterprise.
The car has been fine and I would say mechanically well maintained prior to me buying and in accordance with manufacturer requirements. It still had a warranty which the manufacturer has since honoured although I would say that is possibly the only risk as maybe not all manufacturers would do this. Others advised me a car sold as a hire car may have different warranty terms from the manufacturer.
Anyway, my experience has been good. The vehicle was competitively priced at the outset and I would certainly consider another hire car again. As others have said do your homework as a car is invariably not a cheap purchase.0 -
You can actually buy from Hertz and Avis directly...0

One thing to bear in mind is that Enterprise also act as fleet managers for a number of manufacturers so just because a car comes from them doesn't mean it's been in general use as a hire car.0

With those sorts of miles chances are it was on long term hire to one individual. Rental cars (almost) never get to their first service before they're disposed of.0 -
another hire car collected this morning, all scratched up as per.
i mean im sure it fine and wonderful
Scratches happen. It'll be sold off via auction to a non franchised retailer or sold direct to the public.
Bemused by the way that you're pretty much saying that all "rhymes with MAVIS" cars are faulty or damaged. Funny how you want use their name in any of your posts - afraid of slandering them on a public forum and not being able to back it up?0
