Sounds exciting.
If you have bacon, wrap it round the chicken and bake in oven...Stuff them first with some dried herbs and cheese if you have them. Is it breasts?? Chop it up, fry with some mushrooms and onion, make a white sauce and add to pasta. (was going to suggest bunging in some wine too but I doubt you have much in the way of leftover wine.)
There...Helpful or what?
welcome to miss frugal pants....You'll be a bit lost on the board today as there seem to be alot of old threads being bumped and moved to the appropriate board. I've been confuddled by it all day. Lucky we have Pink and Gingham to keep us tidy.

Well, I have pretty much done all my list. And in the process of cleaning the hall, I have rearranged it to create a little reading nook (next to the bookcase)
We are going to the flicks to see Stardust tonight :j, whenever OH turns up - he said he'd be home in about an hour...at lunchtime.

Oh Blairweech, thanks so much - I'd been wondering what the film was that is on the Video of Take That singing Rule the World (a song which always sends me rushing into the living room to listen and watch when i hear it on TV from the kitchen!) and now I know! Will have to get Dh to take me to see it as it sounds right up our street. I had vaguely heard about it, but hadn't realised the book was by Neil Gaiman - I've only read "Bad Omens", which he wrote with Terry Pratchett, but really enjoyed it.0

Ivyleaf - The book is amazing!!! I don't think the film is going to be as good, so I think read the book first. Neil Gaiman is a very good writerWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0

Evening All
Had quite a lazy day today as I seem to have bruised my spine right at the bottom - I cant for the life of me remember whats is called but it begins with a c! Lying down is the only position that is comfortable at the moment, sitting and standing is too painful.
Anyway managed to pop to Morrisons this morning as need to get DD some stuff - driving is very painful. Also picked up some Echinicea (sp) - am hopin to avoid colds this year. Luckily Oh has been busy and hoovered whole house and washed floors for me. There is loads more housework I know needs to be done but when everything is hoovered is looks so much better.
Going to force myself up in a bit and make kids lunches - am trying to be really good and make them the night before as I hate doing it in the morning. Think will wait till after emmerdale though.

Afternoon all - half day at w*rk today and then off to the civic centre to witness a friend's citizenship ceremony. That was very moving even though it was quite a lot of patriotism for a dyed-in-the-wool republican but df sooooo happy. it turned out that I was at college with the deputy lady mayoress who officiated - i don't think she rmembered me and the only hting I remember about her was that she was a complete duffer at maths. Actually I can't talk - we had homework dramas this morning and dd discovered that I am no good at parellograms and/or rhomboids at 7.30am (or any other time actually). She is in a special class for maths boffins and left me behind years ago. Btw does anyone know what kind of triangle it is that has all sides unequal - bugging me all day - irregular? unequilateral?
Tea was fish and chips as exoh was supposed to come round and has blown dd out again so she needed cheering up - he is under manners with the newish gf who complains that she comes second to his kids ..... well der!
Happy happy birthday scuzz - 24 - just a babe in arms in my book - have a great day
dsis is on her fourth date with a guy she met on match.com - if this works out she is going to stop her subs and pay for me to have a go - not sure about it actually as I am quite happy on my own at the moment and am actually saving myself for johnny depp but it might be fun. Gotta go The Archers is on and i have looooooaaaaads to do - have a great evening allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
