Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7th November. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good morning everyone,
Well another rainy day here. Yesterday was Melbourne Cup Day and I'm sorry to say my nag is still running. I've been quite busy the last few days with the usual stuff plus a bit more. Took Benny to the vet yesterday and there is already a big improvement since taking his tablets/cream. We can finally get some decent sleep. DH home early due to rain.
Twink Fancy us all knowing a famous cook.
I'm so [STRIKE]jealous[/STRIKE] happy for you.
Granny Why don't you meet up with Haribo and you both go craft shopping together. You'll have a fantastic time. If I was still there I would tag along as well.
littlekittykat I hope I've got your user name right but congratulations.
Well I might go and have a surf atm. My computer is free  so I better strike while the iron's hot. Have a lovely day everybody. Byeeeeeeeeee

Morning Ninny....morning Mrs Mix cos I know you're about! Morning everyone else.
Silly old Ninny forgot to say happy birthday to Scuzz. Woo hoo 24 years old today Scuzz. I know you have a birthday day planned for Friday but hope you have a fabulous day today as well.
Churchie, thanks for assuring me that I do not have to go shopping to replace my entire collection of bakeware. What a relief! I will keep on producing burnt offerings and keep on blaming the oven:rotfl::o
What a fabulous idea Ninny that Haribo and Granny go shopping together. You'd have an absolute ball the two of you indulging yourselves in all things Old Style and having a good old "over the fence" type natter. Go on, do it!!:D:D
You remember the other day that I muttered something about planning to do lots of housework yesterday before going to wo*k? Well, urm, Churchie seems to have had prior knowledge that such plans could go horribly wrong. Yep you guessed it, I didn't so much as lift a finger, so I've got it all to look forward to tonight!
Gosh I am hungry! Am off to scoff some grub.
Have a fantastic Wednesday everyone.

Morning Aussielass, SnowyOwl, Mrs_Mix and all who follow/cross.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Scuzz
Woke up early today for no known reason, so here early, though still others before me. Knee/foot giving me GBH will be glad to get scan results tomorrow, as can at least know why the knee is hurting. Walking or rather hobble/limping is the best I can seem to do, going to send DH off for a walk with our friends this a.m. while I wait for delivery+collection. They are all walkers and I certain don't fit that description at the moment.
Braces Mrs_M - I would say try charity shops or somewhere like Greenwoods otherwise.
Other than that all is fine in the world, ((((hugs)))) all round, going to go and read the thread from yesterday.
Take care

Morning Aussie, Snowy, Mrs mix, Pen-pin and Donny-gal.....and the others who sneak in and follow.
Glad to hear that Benny is doing better Aussie....how are the lettuces going...have you used up that glut yet?
Oh well Pen-Pin.....I suppose that's progress with news of an op.
Best laid plans always fail Snowy.
Hugs to Donny-gal and Mrs Mix, I hope the aches and pains ease off.
Not got too many plans yet today, my cunning plan from yesterday to call at Sainsbugs on the way to work failed as they don't open until 8am....I then tried Morrisons as they are closer to work and they open at 8am as well...I was sure it would be 7.30am..oh well..I know for next time.
Had a pleasant day wandering round the Trafford Centre, bought some more wool. Think I had better get moving with my current project before I start anything else.
Love and hugs to all those who go before and follow.

Morning All
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Gosh, can't believe I'm 24. Better start acting like a grown up!!! Then again, maybe not!!:D Having lunch out with one of my best friends later, then doing the whole family thing. Work have left a card for me, and my penfriend's sent me an email, so all in all a good start to the day.
Found 12p in the studio, so that's gone in the poppy appeal tin. :T Not much, but every penny helps. Still collecting in my sponsor money, but only have £15 to get off people now.
Not really in the mood to work, but I really have too! Still bouncing around like a fool through the excitement of Friday. And I now have to get to Cornwall next year as my friend's getting married there:T
Loving life at the moment - well most of it. Going to call the estate agent later and say I'm thinking about pulling out if they don't get a wriggle on. I mean it's taking forever!!!!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Happy Birthday Scuzz - have a great day.
Got loads of paperwork done yesterday but very little housework, so today will start on the housework and go into the office sometime this afternoon.
Front room is nearly finished and is looking much better - is nice to sit in there now. Have brought all the logs in as its meant to get much colder and can start having log fires - lovely.
Not sure whats for dinner tonight - need to look at the menu plan.

morning everyone! :j happy Birthday Scuzz, have a great day!:j
Yesterday I got a couple more costumes in Sainsbury's - a cat one for dd (£2.40!!) and a vampire one for ds (£3!!). You cant make them for those prices can you???? DD loves the cat and didnt stop prancing around in it!!! She is funny!! she does look quite cute, I might post a pic later.:D
I resisted gettin the "pumpkin deely-boppers":p
am taking my friend to costco's this morning he wants to get some things for his tea stall for his concert on sunday (which I will be helping with). He has 2 Brass Band concerts, one in the afternoon at the Barnardos church, and then one in the evening at Queens Theatre, Hornchurch - he raises money for Barnardos :T this year he has the principal cornet player from the Black Dyke Mills Band playing!! As its rememberance sunday he sometimes has a little old time singalong in it, which goes down well with the older generation.
Barnardos though are never very helpful towards him, you would think they would make things easy for people to raise money
Snowyowl - no housework, sometimes you just have to go with the flow!
mrsmix/donnygal - hope your aches and pains ease up x
pennypincher - hope yr op is all done and dusted before xmas for you x
aussie - glad benny is gettin better!
whatatwit - have a good knit!
enough waffle from me, and dd wants to put her cat costume on already:rolleyes: :rotfl:
have a good day xx0
