Hi
I just want to find the cheapest possible deal, either PAYG or contract don't mind (no or safe cashback deals). Send about 500 or more texts montly and rarely call. Don't mind keeping/changing phone as long as no extra cost and no other frills needed.
Can anyone help? Would really appreciate it!
TIA0 -

If your phone is 3G and unlocked then for £10 per month you can get Unlimited Text, Unlimited 3to3 calls, unlimited Skype and Windows live messenger (If it is a "3" handset where these services are available) plus 100minutes to landlines or x-network on a 30day contract.
If you don't have a handset thats compatible with 3 then you can get a Sony Ericsson G502, K660i or LG KF310 Free with Unlimited Text Messages and 75 minutes of calls per month for just £10 per month on an 18 month contract (this is the £15 Texter tariff reduced to £10 with these handsets)
Hope this helps and doesn't sound too much like a sales pitch ;-) ha ha ha0 -
cool, thanks for letting us know0

Hi,
I know little or nothing about phones. I've got £200 to spend on a new mobile since my LG chocolate diedI'd like one that I can check my emails & even send some, preferably PAYG, and not too high a tariff for calls and texts (most of family members are on tmobile). Don't know if blackberry pearl is a good phone and worth the £176. Any advice would be appreciated

The mobile phone cost comparison sites all just seem to be based on minutes and texts and do not take account of data (internet) as well. Is there a site that includes this or somewhere I can compare all three elements?0

http://www.billmonitor.com/mobile/ is OK for deals from O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and Three. The thing that it does particularly well is that you can specify how many calls you make to international numbers, how much you use your phone in other countries and how much you use the internet from your phone.
It doesn't cover companies like Virgin Mobile, cashback contracts, cashback from places like Quidco or PAYG phones.
There was a rather sycophantic article on them on the BBC News WWW site http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8063615.stm. It may be the only mobile phone comparison site that is accredited by Ofcom, but I don't see just why you need a scientific advisor to work out how much a phone is going to cost.0 -
been with orange 18months with a previous contract. but a lot of haggling, and comparing to other deals on the market. pushed mine down to £15 a month, with 600 minutes, unlmited texts, unlimited internet at evening and weekends, and the magic numbers (free calls to another selected orange mobile). bargain!
got the sony ericsson c902, was offered the c905 at £20 a month, but £5 cheaper for 2nd model was worth it.
just give it a go, compare to other networks - they want to hold onto you as a customer! just see how much you can squeeze out of them.
new customers, dont know how you can haggle im afraid!0 -
Despite reading Martins tips on this subject I am still confused! I have a contract with t mobile and will be in USA for about 5 weeks this summer. Can anyone help with a simple solution to help me keep in touch with my family?
thanks;)0 -
A colleague tells me he got his mobile from Tesco , online for £15 , it should be about £30 instore, plus he says that his calls work out free because he gets the amount back in points , so is there anything on here regarding this. (when I try searching on this forum , for some reason I find the results a confusion)0
