Helloooo Pottersssss, yet again I went AWOL :o

Not a lot has changed here, still sat waiting for the DWP and the Tribunal :( On a more interesting note, I have finally decided enough is enough and i'm going to try and do something about my mum tum. I'm a perfectly healthy weight according to the NHS BMI checker but I still have the 'you've pushed out a couple of sprogs' tummy roll and i've never managed to shift it.

Having looked on the oracle that is Google it tells me I need to do something called 'planking' :rotfl: now it also seems that this 'planking' malarkey may actually help my horrendous back problems as well, and I figured, well it can't hurt any more than it already does so might as well give it a try. Well had my first attempt today and I hurt in places I did not know it was possible to hurt, I had tremors though my entire body  DD decided she was going to join me and was happily planking, press ups with her feet on the chair, sit ups . . . yeah, thanks kid! I managed to the count of 20 before my arms gave out beneath me! AND I was only doing the girly version using my knees rather than my feet! No change in my back, but that was some serious wishful thinking after 1 try :rotfl: I shall keep going and see what happens.

DH and I have also decided to do the one month no chocolate challenge  if it has chocolate in it we wont be eating or drinking it! DD was offered the option to join us (she said noooooo with a look of horror :rotfl: ) I then said 'ok but whoever manages it gets a £10 note' so now she's undecided, she loves chocolate, but the miserly little thing loves money just as much :rotfl: Challenge starts 1st February but i'm already trying to cut it down as I have eaten too much over the christmas period.

I've been potting money as i've got it, I have 2 x £2 coins in my wallet I think and maybe a bit of silver after a mad dash out to buy my mother a birthday card and gift as they left for their 3 month vacation today and i'd blumin forgot to get her anything  STILL managed to forget a mothers day card sighhhh, so she wont get that till she gets home.

I really am trying not to be absent for too long! (I really need to keep up, I had like 8 pages to read!) so hopefully I will be back in the not too distant future.

I am still alive and I have chucked some loose change into my pot but I don't know how much...

In addition I have added £20 to the pot for the penny a day savings (I start in November so the challenge is done in time for Xmas shopping) I get paid on Friday so will add another £25, plus an amount for the £1 a week once I've worked out how much money I have to play with once the bills are paid :) I'm hoping for £30 though so I think I'll be at about £100 in total in my jar.

  • In my defense sue-uu his trousers were in the washing basket, anything in there is my compensation for having to keep up with this lots mountains of clothes! :rotfl:

Had the courage to stick a five note in the tin yesterday! Plus a few odds and ends of change thrown in.
Trying to get into the habit of taking out cash instead of paying for everything on card so I can see what I'm spending and have change to squirrel away. Took money out this morning tho to go co-op and instinctively paid on my card  putting it down to baby brain tho hehe x

Hiya 32b3! I was up late as T was watching a film. I'm not fussy on horrors :( so I thought I'd catch up here on SPC. I was fine though thanks a lot.
    Good potting again! :D

    20p richer though SSDD23!! :D

Great work, weenapoops! It's lovely to find little surprises. :D Re recycle our batteries too but there's never any cash in ours. :(

You and I are both in the same situation, Aaleigha. Still, best not to be possibly tempted in to spending! ;) Sounds good at least and at least your pot is 50p better off!!

A very handy amount saved so far, Loz!! :j

No doubt you're doing what thousands of others are doing in working Christmas off, jakes-mum. Just be careful of that back though! :naughty:
You - stay away from chocolate for a month??! :EasterBun Well, all the best with it and let's hope you get that £10er!! :T I'd love to see your DD decide to do it as well and make the competition fierce! Excellent potting too!

It's good to see you, Lucifa. Reading through your post it's telling me that you're going to have some fantastic savings by October!! Amazing work, stay focused!!

Yes, hopefully we're all well thanks, Dolly, you certainly are and with a brilliant Total so far!!! :D

    Very well done, IWillSucceed!! :D

Oh well not to worry, RaspberryJamming, hopefully he'll leave lots in his pockets. Don't worry about what goes inadvertently on to your card, you're saving brilliantly as it is so be chuffed to bits with it!!! ;)

    A great find, motivated!! :j

We are all doing amazingly well, and whether it's a little or a lot, it doesn't matter - it's cash stashed for when we need it!!!

Have a lovelyWedesday folks!! Save well when possible.

    Sue

NB folks: Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019
