£100 saved today as mum & dad bought me a coat that I had my eye on for my birthday (in advance as my birthday isn't until December). Since I would have spent my own money on this item but didn't have to - in the pot it goes! :) Thanks mum & dad! :)

    Hi all,

    Back again.

Just a few bits from the front post Sue, you have the date 31st but mid way it says October 1st, and also you need to change the year at the bottom to 2019.

Looking forward to seeing what this years challenge brings

LOL! Thanks Sue! I suspect that DH would see through that cunning plan. :rotfl: I can at least try to build up to it over the course of the year.

“Hi,!I'm new here,!can I join in.!Of course you can! I have a nice box (got it as a wedding present and it's lasted longer than the husband!(Uh oh,!we've got a right one ere!) I've thrown in some £2 coins this morning. Can't wait to see how much I can save!!

You really had me puzzled there, Couldsavemore, because of not using a quoted message. If you could click on the green tab below a post in future it would help no end.

Meanwhile, your SPC No is 080, if you could please put it on your signature it will be a huge help.
Good to hear you've had more change to pot, well done.

WOW! That was so kind of your parents, 3forholidays!! So, a lovely new coat and £100 in the pot, such an amazing start to the year!!!! :j

It's perfectly ok, Westie, as I told you the last time you picked up on mistakes in my 1st post, I'm usually in such a great hurry before posting so I obviously proofread it, then see to it as soon as I have the time. I deleted some text on there yesterday, but haven't yet had time to finish.

Perhaps in future you could leave it to me to do as I normally do as it only adds even more pressure. Thanks anyway. :)

Ah well you know me, Vicky, just a thought....forever thinking of crafty ideas!! ;) Well done on what you've potted. Hope to see you soon.

    Have a lovely Sunday, everyone.

  • Hello sealed potters,

I've lurked for quite a while and would love to tag along in 2019. I'm hoping to save £240 towards Christmas. £20 a month is a sensible target whilst I'm paying off the debts. I'm going to try and save my eBay and Facebook sales, as well as roadkill and coins when my wallet too full! Total is £0 and I need to find a pot tomorrow 😆

I think we have crossed wires somewhere, I don't remember you telling me I was doing wrong I remember you thanking me for pointing them out, unless I am thinking of another thread. I was just pointing out to make things easier, I wasn't picking at it at all, as of course can't change what you don't know about sometimes it takes someone to notice things that you don't see, proof reading I suppose.

I was only trying to help, and didn't mean to add any pressure for you, just thought it's good to change as soon as noticed rather then further down the challenge.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding and sorry for pointing them out, I didn't mean to upset you.

I LOVE your name Choccygirl!!! Very envious. Guess what my favourite food is?!

I know Sue has mentioned it, but if you ever have a couple of spare coins, which you aren't putting towards your debts, then pop those into your pot too. You could always use that excess to pay off more of the debts next year. Entirely up to you though. :)
