Thank you Sue for such a warm welcome! And also to James - good luck with saving for India I do find it’s a lot more motivating to have something specific to save for, though seeing the pot slowly filling up should also help!
Have just found a lonely looking £1 when sorting through my purse - in the pot it goes! I’m hoping it will have plenty of company soon as DH will be working tonight and (hopefully) getting tips that can be added.
Is it odd to already be looking forward to opening day?! :jBeware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.

Thanks for the lovely new thread Sue! I'm starting off by potting all the silver bits from my purse so that the tin makes a lovely sound when I shake it Any pound coins or notes (I should be so lucky!) will be put into the camper van money box as before, because I'm not really ever tempted to plunder it and it's tucked out of sight in a cupboard.
G was going to give me some spare change but instead we used it to buy a hot sausage roll and a tea for a homeless young man in town this lunchtime. It was flippin' cold out there.
Anyway, potters are declaring some smashing totals again this year, aren't they. Well done everyone and a big thank you again to Sue.
Oh and thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes for yesterday. Jakes-mum... the cakes were delicious :rotfl::rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge #012

There's no need to sign up again, Katsoocam, we all stick with the same Nos so your still No 52. Don't worry about there being no saving today, the pot will patiently be waiting for a feed! Don't forget to come on regularly so you can motivate us all, tother way round too! :j
Very wise to feed your pot some fodder, little_sweetie, no doubt we rattle best when we've food inside us!! :rotfl: That was so kind of G to ensure the homeless chap had food and a drink too. Although we've lost that wind (for now) it's still bitter out there, especially at this time of day.
I hope you had a really lovely day yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. Take great care and we'd love to see you when you've time. Have a lovely weekend.Have a wonderful weekend, folks.Sue

Hi! I'm looking forward to the new challenge - my tin is sealed and ready and I've just put £1.40 in to start things off... I would like to aim for £450 this year... I have worked out I will need to pot the equivalent of £1.23 a day if I'm going to manage it! My husband is on the case too so will be adding money to the pot when he can :rotfl:Sealed pot challenge - 12 - #0040

Good evening everyone.
It is so good to be back. Number 153 reporting for duty! The first potting has taken price of £2.50 instead of me buying a EuroMillions ticket. I never win so I may as well keep the cash myself.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 declared0 -
