    Hello again SPCers!

Not long to go now folks!! just A WEEK TODAY!!!! :j I hope you ALL have a great weekend and yourselves. :j
To all those members who are poorly or low in any way, please know that we're thinking of you all and wishing you all the best to soon feel much better. {{{Hugs}}} from us all. :grinheart

Very well done, Dragon Lily, I'm pleased you're all ready to go!

It's good to see you with us again, Saver upper, to be honest I really thought you'd left us! You don't need to re-join for next year, but seeing you a little more often would be greatly appreciated.

Ok Pm02, 32b3 or I will be ready whenever you are. Have a lovely holiday! :D

Lily has been scared of dogs since she was a toddler, next doors dog managed to jump our fence when she was in the garden and jumped at her to play, she's been nervous ever since. This was one of the reasons we decided to finally get Harley, the same thing happened to my sister and she's still terrified of dogs and I didn't want the same thing to happen to Lil. She loves her dog though, they are best friends so i'm very happy :)

Don't think I posted about DH's cash from the pub, he came home on Saturday with £6.75 for the pot :D what are we at now? 10 days to go? wooooooooo!

No doubt your DH is much better by now, jakes-mum, the same as you. Our eldest grandson has always had a fear of dogs like your Lily, but thankfully, us having our dear Jessie (black Lab) has helped him so much. PS. Flippin heck jakes-mum, you've got money coming in left, right and centre!

Don't be too concerned about how much you've saved, MrsShazbat, as we all get such times due to all sorts of reasons. Excellent that you at least have Qu!dco & E!at to include!! ;)

we are so so close now :) My plan for the 31st is to count up the change, then I will take it to the machine in the NatWiest Bank near my office on the Saturday after and put it in the twirly machine. I can drive there at weekends, and hopefully park right outside the bank. there is a money changing shop next door to the bank, so I will be going straight in there to change some of the potting into dollars

I have been running the change pig, a 'save the change' account and also a Chip savings account that I will be counting as my total this year, so hopefully it will be a good amount. I already know what's in the two on-line savings account, but the change pig will be a complete surprise.32b3

It sounds as though you've everything planned down to a fine art, 32b3, and why not!! :T You've certainly been saving brilliantly this year, very well done indeed!! I look forward to hearing about the contents of your pig - not many people you could say that too now are there!!!! :rotfl:

Hi again Maddie! I'm so glad you had a lovely time, though what a nightmare of a journey home!! :( Fingers crossed that you get some compensation!! :j

I haven't posted for Eon's but am still saving, getting close to counting up day now so thought I should let Sue know that I am still here. Sorry about this but a few RL things have got in the way and are still not sorted, will be here for counting day tho.xx

Don't worry too much, Babs, I like to think I'm understanding about the goings-on in folks lives, I've definitely a few of my own these days. :D

Not long at all mummytummy!!! :j

Have a wonderful time on the Isle Of Man, Lucy, I hope the weather is as good to you as possible! :D We'll be waiting for you on your return!

Amazing news about your MOT Hetty!!!!! That tooth fairy is certainly keeping you on your toes! Are you sure your little lad isn't using the same tooth over and over?! :rotfl: I sincerely hope you get the job you're going for, all the best.

Have a lovely Friday and a super weekend!!
Don't forget to keep potting!

Ooh lucky roadkill find! There’s been a lack of it in my life recently and I work on a university campus; maybe students only use cards (or phones!!) nowadays. Going to work used to be so much more profitable :D

Put £1.23 in last night after shopping. Hoping the change left in my purse will find its way in to on the 31st which is payday :)

As I’ve banked my pot already I’ve started the 2020 challenge a little early.
I’ve put in £30s worth of £5 notes, and some coins, already as I want to beat my amount from this year.

I’ve set my debit card to round up my transactions so it automatically moves the amount to a separate pot. Then when it gets to £5 I take it out my account and add it to my pot. I’ve found it easier than taking cash out as I’m still potting but also able to keep track of my budget.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

A £1 from chips bought for tea tonight, there is also a £5er but DH and I are currently in dispute over who it belongs too as he says I have not paid him back for the £6 odd he brought home from the pub, I say I have as I remember a convo about how he only gets £5 not the £10 he was angling for as it wasn't over £7.50 :rotfl: so its currently sat in no mans land as we are both stubbornly refusing to pick it up :rotfl:

I know what you mean. Last year I saved almost £60, but doubt I will anywhere close to £15 this year. I think people are being much more careful with any cash they do have or, like you say, pay by card. Not good for my potting skills though - don’t want to get rusty :rotfl:

  • I've been ebay listing like a crazy woman for one last huge push before the final count! Going to open the sealed pot and see how much coinage is in there. Hubby told me he's been putting all his change in there so hopefully there's a few more £ to add to my sealed pot bank account .

    So excited! :j:j:j:j:j
