Morning all!
Nothing major to report, another £4 odds added over the weekend to my pots (not that I'm counting!).
BUT! Has anyone seen the BIG money tins in B&M? More than double the size of the poundland money tins, I wonder how much money they hold?? I didn't buy one obviously as I have my jars sorted (plus they were £2.79 each and my wee ones only cost 79p each so it wasn't worth it for me!)0 -
Oh dear, only 67p in the purse emptying yesterday.I did have a couple of quid, but had to give it to the window cleaner on Friday on behalf of my daughter when I informed him that DD1 was moving house yesterday.
I'm exhausted and a bit depressed. My daughter and her kids have lived within 5 minutes walk for the last 26 years,so its the end of an era. They have now split into 4 different places!:(
My xmas vouchers from Tesc* came £59 altogether,a big help with buying bottles for the family's goody bags. With no less than 14 people to buy forat Xmas,I am SSSOOOO glad I saved up for it!:T0 -

Hi there Sealed Potters!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Mine was a good and bad one as, although I've had eczema for years and not been too bad with it, lately I've had a terrible flare-up with my feet and shins being the worst affected. :(I've got some cream but it's a fat lot of good! I've now got to stay sugar, wheat and dairy free as it stems from "leaking gut", not looking forward to it at all, but if it helps then it'll be marvellous!!! :jAlso, we had a special birthday of our dear friend yesterday, we couldn't not have gone as their son died of cancer nearly 3 years ago. However, having shoes on almost drove me mad!! _pale_:undecided Anyway, I'm back with you now.
To all our members who are either poorly or low in spirits, here's wishes for you to get well soon. For now, love and {{{Hugs}}} from us all. :grinheart
Very well done in spotting that 10p roadkill, Couldsavemore!!! Good potting in general too!!Another affected by the dreaded Ofsted too then, all the best with yours.
Very well done with your potting too, 32b3!!!! Strange for you to be behind yourself in not putting the right amount on your siggy, especially given that it's over a £100 more!! I've no doubt you enjoyed your weekend, although by golly didn't it ever chuck it down, poor DH got soaked when out with the dog!!
So sorry to hear about your bi polar, Moneymakestheworldgoround, but at least you're telling us which is realIy good.I quite agree, that SPC might be the ideal challenge for you to stick to especially as you're doing the 1p challenge. Keep coming to the thread as it'll help you stay focused even better!!
Excellent potting with the A!on earnings, Whatshername!!!! :j
I'm thrilled you're staying so motivated in reading the posts from us all, browneyed_girl, it really makes a difference!!It sounds as though you and your hubby are hell-bent on doing your utmost with the challenge, brilliant!!!!!
Fantastic savings, swimminginaseaofdebt!!!!!Keep it going!
I have a small mount of coins on the table, but as yet haven't got a pot to put them in.
I am really having trouble finding one, I have no coffee/jam jars spare and cannot get out to buy one.:mad:.
May be a few weeks yet before I can get out so wish me luck that I can keep the money separate.:o
Don't worry about it being a pot or jar for now, Babs 103, anything will do as long as you can keep your SPC money separate. How about a box, carton or old purse or bag or anything similar as long as it serves the purpose. I hope all's well with you, just take great care of yourself and well done with the savings!!EverTheOptimist wrote: »I'd like it t return if I can, having been awol for most of this years SPC.
Only pennies saved during SPC 11 so hoping too save more, pop in more and chat more to keep me going.
Hey Sue, will leave my target as £200 please, you never know... I'm hoping to deal more in cash so 1) I can see where my money's going 2) have more change to pot.
Helllooo ETO!! :hello:It's wonderful to see you back, though to be honest, I'd thought you'd vamoosed!Come on back more regularly to give you the incentive to save more. How are the children? BTW, your SPC No is 005, please couly you swap it for me? Thanks a lot. Yes, your Targetis still £200.
Marvellous potting Miss DM!!!! :j Ok, you've said your starting a no spend promise, but what a fantastic beginning!!!!Good morning everyone. Great potting by everyone this week. I'm envious of the notes going in for people, don't think I'll be doing that any time soon myself :-) but still trying to throw in a healthy amount of pennies where I can. I've got the step kids involved, I've told them any money they find on/near/in the sofa has to go in the pot - money is always falling out of my husbands pockets. Not roadkill as its our money, it still feels like I've found a bit of treasure though amongst the Cheerios and detritus left there by my little ones :-)
Don't worry about some members being able to save notes when you're unable to, ERPY85, the main thing is you're saving all you can when you can and that's all that counts, so be proud of your savings too!!!! It's brilliant that you've got the kiddies involved as it's good for them for later in life, they even sound as though they're amost your own - superb!! :grinheart
Hello Vicky! You're welcome to the star as it's a huge help to me, I promise you. That's an excellent way to save cash, and a shame everyone didn't do the same, imagine the savings made from that alone!!!!Aside from that you can chat more easily. Look after yourself Vicky. I'd have thought your cat would have been far more MSE by the way, shocking! :rotfl:
I quite understand your circumstances and why you're having problems right now, Choccygirl, but as long as you're doing all you can when you're able then be happy, proud too! Don't forget the roads, pavements, playing fields too for roadkill.
Whatever you manage to save just has to be to your benefit, Thrice, very well done!!
Well, if anyone still needs a pot let's hope they see your post, a shame Babs 103 can't get out at present.
I'm so sorry to hear your rotten news, dustydigger, that must have been a heck of a blow after so many years!!I doubt it's been easy for them either as I bet they must miss you just as much, also each other!! Don't forget Skype!! :kisses3:
Good for you, Dragon Lily, cash potted for you to chuffed with!Enjoy your Tuesday SPCers, and save well where possible!!Sue
Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019

Thanks Sue. Signature updated with the correct number. Things have been a little crazy here, not always in a good way. Children are fantastic though, my little shining lights. They keep me going. I've been meaning to come back for most of this year but there's always something getting in the way.
However my money is spiralling out of control  so back here to find my focus.
Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well. I was wondering if you were still here keeping everyone in order.Glad to see you are. X
SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Hi Sue & fellow potters
Hope everyone's okay....and staying warm. I'm sure it's getting colder... I keep reaching for the convector heater (because the main one seems to take 3 days to warm up).
Only a few coppers & bits of silver have been going in my 2 tins, mainly change from shopping.
My work savings club money (from 2018 SPC hasn't been paid back yet, could be anytime, but no one knows for sure when). The new savings club starts mid January so between the old one finishing and the new one starting, there will be around 8 weeks of spare cash which I haven't got used to spending... I think I might put it on Council Tax to knock next years monthly payments down.
Take care all

Morning potters,
A wee update from me 013 Deleted_User I have £13.50 to add to my pot which I will do when I get home tonight, still planning to count as I go.
This pot will only be £2, £1 and £0.50.
I have another pot with all the other coins in which I am not going to count until it is emptied, it is one of those HUGE cola bottles so will probably take me about a hundred years to fill the darn thing
