I agree that's usually the case..but from their terms:
3.10 You must pay your opening deposit into your account within 7 days of your application being accepted or before the product is closed to new applications (whichever happens first).
They may cut near misses some slack, but I wouldn't hang around.
Well spotted!0 -
I assume there is no issue adding funds to an already opened account once it has been withdrawn from sale ?0

You mean 'already initially funded'? Yep, should be no problem.I assume there is no issue adding funds to an already opened account once it has been withdrawn from sale ?
Open & empty may be a problem.0 -
Sorry. Yes, already funded, just additional funds.
Worked fine for me. I opened and transferred £1k on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday evening, after it had been closed to new applications, I transferred some more in. It had safely arrived in my Nottingham account when I logged in first thing this morning.0 -
As the previous poster said, no problem using the account if you've already opened it. It's just closed for new applications. I couldn't find the interest rate online after I saw it had been pulled so gave them a call to check everything was ok - answer was to look on the 'closed accounts' part of the interest rates page and you'll see the esaver version 9 there in all its 1.55% glory.
Well done to all those who managed to open one and fund it before it was pulled!Debt Free 03 Dec 2014/£25k repaid
Mortgage: Dec 2014: £98,392.77. Jan 2018: £78,000. Nov 2018: £74,736. July 2019: 70,000

Steady on now. Don't go letting banks think that an interest rate of 1.55% is glorious!0 -
