Is there a company whereby if you have bad credit you can apply for a credit card with a guarantor? My car really needs repaired and I need it to get to work. I will be able to pay the balance off in full in the middle of December, provided I have my car to get to work and do overtime!
My mum is unable to lend me the money but she has a good credit score and would be able to go guarantor for me but I can't seem to find anywhere that offers one and I dont know what to do.
I thought capital one did but I can't find it and did the eligibility check with them anyway but wasn't eligible for one on my own.

If your Mum does not have the money to loan you this sum why put her in the position of taking out (or guaranteeing) your loan and the responsibility of repaying it if you default on paying the amount due. If she does not have a credit card now, what makes you think she would get one with enough credit limit to pay your bill.

Try asking your bank for a loan or an overdraft and pay the interest yourself. You need to take responsibility for your debts.

If I must drag my mum into it? You dont know my circumstances or that of my family.
This forum is honestly full of the rudest people ive ever come across. I dont even know why I bother to ask questions.

It was you who said "my Mum is unable to lend me the money". It is a reasonable inference that if your Mum has insufficient savings to loan you the money she will have difficulties in repaying the credit card balance if you fail to do so. Seems self evident to me that you are dragging your Mum into it. Your reaction to the phrase suggests he touched a raw nerve.

What about trying to improve your credit record to the point where you would be considered for a sub-prime credit card?

Do you know why you are being refused? Are you on the electoral roll? Have you any positive entries? Have you checked all three CRAs?

There isn't a specific guarantor credit card. Try this elgibility checker specifically for bad credit (no credit history).

Before taking out the credit card make sure the garage do actually take payment via credit card.

Bear in mind that if your mother gets a card, you may lose S75 protection if she pays for "your" repairs and almost certainly will if you use a card on her account.
