Thanks for that Denise . I remember when local butchers were able to sell under a SW banner. They had them at our local market and a guy used to come to our group and take orders. Shame that stopped but now SW sell their own with Iceland they won't promote anyone else.:(

That's a huge bargain tie It just goes to prove that SW doesn't have to be expensive. I think Satsumas are excellent for taking with you. Better than bananas because they're Speed. :)

I made good choices at the dance. I had a couple of tiny pieces of rye bread with smoked salmon, some dip and then everything else was fruit or vegetables. Someone had made some lovely fruit kebabs. I have some of the dips left so I'll probably use those up. They are quite low syn and you don't need much. :)

Absolutely agree Maman but SW ones from Iceland are absolutely awful - the texture if all wrong too. I've only ever bought one pack and used half as a sausage, mash & veg meal the other half I ended up chopping up small and adding to a sausage casserole but that wasn't any better though! Never again. I'll stick with my local butchers!

While I'm here I might as well post my Green plan for today

B - fried egg, fried up LO roast potatoes - 1 syn, mushrooms & tomatoes
L - jacket potato, cottage cheese & HM coleslaw - 0.5 syn for mayo
    D - squash & chickpea curry & rice; rice pudding - HEA1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk
    HEB1 -Not sure - Hifi bars/toast maybe
    Syns - 1 (50g Aunt Bessies roasties); 1 TbsLTL mayo 0.5

    Morning!

-1 for me this week please, not as good as I'd hoped for but had an unplanned night out on Thursday which clearly impacted on Saturday's weigh in. I've set a mini-goal for 4 lbs this week and I'm determined to do it!

Been working in the garden all weekend, will be walking every evening this week and 100% on plan from now until Saturday, with the exception of going for a meal on Friday but I'm banking syns all week to cover it, and I already know what I'm going to have (Mixed Tikka, salad and boiled rice with a spoonful of curry sauce)!

    Today's food:
B - Bacon and egg on w/meal toast HEB
    L - SW Pasta Bolognese & a Muller Light (1 Syn)
    D - Chicken Noodle Broth

Might have HEA as cheese on Bolognese at lunch time but not decided yet.
You can have results or excuses, but not both.

At least it's a loss fatrab. Anything is better than a gain!

That's true fatrab and you deserved your night out last week. I know you want to reach that target for Christmas but SW has to fit round RL to make it sustainable. And RL includes unplanned nights out sometimes. It happens.:)

Looking at your menu for today, it doesn't seem to have much Speed. Probably some in the Bolognese. Any more? Remember you need at least a third Speed and IMO as much as possible.:)

Out of sheer nosiness denise, why did you have Aunty Bessie's potatoes?;)

We're out for a meal tonight with friends. I haven't chosen the Christmas menu so I'm hoping that the regular menu won't have suffered and I can have the low syn fishy dishes that I've eaten there before. There will be wine syns though.:o

Still, as the consultants like to tell us 'it's only one meal'. The rest of the day will be SW friendly.

    EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO fried veg, ham, pickles
    D: tbc

Sorry for not checking in. I'm still here. Just been having a nightmare few weeks with bits and bobs going wrong in life. Positive thinking and all that.

In good news, I'm still at target range, although I've battered it this weekend so we'll see :)

Sorry, that was just sheer laziness on my part when posting, yes loads of onion, carrot and mushroom in the Bolognese but you're right, there should be 1/3 plate of speed to accompany it.

Dinner tonight though will have added spring onion, baby corn and mangetout!
