fatrab if you buy the low fat cheese you could have 40g of cheese without synning it, but I suspect you know that.
Low syn again yesterday, just 1.5 for a nini meringue and 1/4 pint SF jelly.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast
L - HM Minestrone soup
D - HM meatballs in a HM ratatouille sauce with pasta
Lunch and dinner from the freezer. As you can see I'm trying to empty my inside freezer before we go on holiday as we will need to move it from the kitchen when I'll hopefully be having my new kitchen installed!
Have a good day everyone.

Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning beanie. Thinking of you.:AHad the new member talk last night. Know how far I have slipped from the plan. Feeling motivated.
That's good to hear.:T Are you able to eat a more varied range of foods now?:)I'm back to filling in a food diary again. It's really good for helping to keep track of all the little forgotten syns
I agree with that. I think actually knowing you have to write it down can be good accountability. It makes me ask 'Do I need this?'. Nothing worse than wasted syns.:(Having dinner before weigh in last night was a planned thing. Need to get myself out of the habit of not eating properly on weigh in day.
I'm lucky that I can go to a morning WI but I always have breakfast first. That's because on the day (8+ years ago:eek:) that I finally made up my mind to join SW I'd already had breakfast so I've stuck to it.Lol yes, but Mrs fatrab doesn't like LIDL's light cheddar and 30g of anything is virtually invisible on top of my 3 egg omelette! Hardly having any other syns so I'm happy to take the hit on a wee bit of cheese. I should be counting a few syns for the splash of milk in my omelette too!!
You're right that if you really enjoy cheese on your omelette then the syns are worth it. I'm happy to have an omelette without but a bit of Parmesan can give more flavour for less syns than cheddar. You don't get the bubbly cheese look but you get the taste. I put a splash of cold water in with the eggs instead of milk too but it's all personal choice with how we manage syns. Is Mrs Fatrab still following the plan or is it just easier not to buy separate ingredients?:)
I was very good last night. I had the steak/new potatoes/salad as planned and just a single glass of wine. So this week I'm probably a bit over syns but it could have been a lot worse if I hadn't made wise choices eating out. Even though I'm not going to WI tomorrow I still start a new week of 105 syns.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and pickled cabbageveggie chilli, rice
Syns: None planned.
This is probably an accidental Green day but I won't bother with the extra HEXs unless get peckish later.0 -
Quite understand fatrab about Mrs f not liking the lighter cheese and not being worth buying both. I very rarely have cheese omelette except occasionally when I have a Green day, although with the "new plan" starting in the New Year I might have them more often as will be able to have the 2 HEAs! I usually have either bacon & mushroom or just a mushroom omelette, also occasionally add spring onions and/peppers & onions depending on how hungry I am when I'm making breakfast, LOL!
Well done Maman on just the single glass of wine yesterday. Have to say I generally only have one glass when we're out and then have more when I get home except if both DH and I are drinking wine when it's worth buying a bottle! Of course this can only happen when we're away in the motorhome as we're then using buses to get anywhere so no driving for DH - I never drive when we go out together!

Morning All
Sorry to hear about your falls Beanie....please don't let it play on your mind for Friday - just go as fast as you want to go and everyone else can whistle.
Kathyrnha - I know a couple of people in my class have sat in on the new member talk and said they found it useful - my consultant swears that most of us only get the member's book out at WI so very often she'll throw a 'pop quiz' at us which again is a nice way of refreshing our memories about the plan.
I realised this week that with the changes coming in, I'll be able to enjoy porridge again though I'd rather there was 2 heb !
Be very much on plan this week, I'm not weighing on Saturday (could you put me down for a holiday ChrisV?) but would really love to reach target next week so as well as running & swimming, I'm wearing my weighted belt whilst walking the dog. It only weighs 7lbs but when I've got it on I really feel heavy.
The other big news is that I've applied for a pt job - I doubt very much I'll get it, even if I get an interview, because of the type of organisation it's with but the main thing is OH is now at least open to me having a pt job - which I'm hoping means he'll start thinking about employing someone to help him
Have a good everyone - & wrap up warm ....it's freezing here!0 -
However I am officially starting again (but keeping current weight loss total). Chris please can you set my progress so far in this challenge back to zero.
No problem kathrynha, we'll sort it out on Monday
I think I'm going to have to do the same soon - A few months ago I was within 5lbs of target, now it's 12lb
I've a bit of a crisis going on in RL, and the lead up to Christmas can only make it worse I fear.
I've took my eye off the ball food wise, my heart just isn't in it at the minute. But hopefully I can get myself motivated and start again after the new year0 -
Hi. I have had fruit for breakfast and later a banana and just had a mug shot and pear might have eggs bacon mushrooms and tomato with toast for tea. Very pleased I lost 2.5 pounds today. How do I highlight it in red please0

Not sure how you do it once posted but if you click on the little arrow beside the capital A above where you're typing it comes up with a chart of colours and you click on it before you type what you want to colour - it'll come up as ... then click outside the bracket and it'll revert to black.
Hope that makes sense!

Is Mrs Fatrab still following the plan....
I'll put it to you this way and you can decide for yourself. Mrs fatrab has eaten the same meals that I've cooked and done most of the same exercise as me since I started the plan, except for the work in the garden over the past few weeks.
She's lost 6lbs in total over the 12 weeks that I've been on plan. I've lost 2st 4.5lbs. Past 3 weeks for her have been:
+1, -1, +2.
For me it was:
-3.5, -7, +1.5
I don't want to discuss her weight but to put things in perspective her BMI is 39, mine is currently 28 (was 33 to begin with)
My suspicion is that she's eating at her desk in work, she loves crisps and savoury snacks. It's starting to cause some friction and the lack of support at home can be trying sometimes. It just takes a slight hint at eating out or going for a drink and we've got our jackets on and are heading out the door without thinking about weight loss or health (or money saving!).You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

It doesn't necessarily mean that Mrs fatrab isn't following plan I only lost 0.5lb most weeks getting to target and it's still the same now - 0.5lb off; 1lb off; 2lb on; 0.5lb off. Some of us are very slow losers! Women also don't lose weight as quickly as men.
Would it help if you made enough dinner at night for her to take a portion to work the following day for her lunch (assuming she has access to a microwave)? That's what I used to do for my DH when he was still working. Now he's retired he just eats what I do or goes hungry:rotfl:.
