Has anyone else's consultant posted on their Facebook page about the changes which are coming when we get the new books in Christmas week?

Yep this is what we have been told:
    Food Optimising changes from Christmas!

Our Nutrition team here at Slimming World regularly review the latest scientific and nutrition research, food trends and product information to make sure our generous Food Optimising stays bang up-to-date and in line with current guidance, so that you can achieve the very best weight loss results in the very healthiest way.

To help you achieve your dream in 2019, you’ll receive a special ⭐️limited edition⭐️ New Member Pack for free when... you go along to group during Christmas week or New Year week. And, in it, you might spot a few changes to Food Optimising:

    1. Enjoy an additional Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice every Extra Easy day – for even more calcium and even more choice!

    2. Due to new nutrition information:
A handful of Free Foods have lost their P symbols –
    *baked beans
    *broad beans
    *mung beans
*all varieties of peas (except split peas).

A few Healthy Extra ‘a’ choices have changed:
*A Healthy Extra portion of whole cow’s milk has increased to 200ml.
*The Healthy Extra portions of rice and almond milk have both decreased to 400ml.
*40g Paneer cheese is now a Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice!

Some products are no longer Healthy Extras
*Kelloggs Special K Milk Chocolate Delight Bar.
    *Sweetened dairy-free milk.
*Reduced fat/light soft cheese (including Philadelphia Light).
    *Soft goat’s cheese.

    3. And on an Extra Easy SP day, enjoy at least half a plate of Speed food, and the rest Protein-rich food as usual. Plus two Healthy Extra ‘a’ choices and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice and, to boost your weight loss further, a maximum of 10 Syns.

This is in addition to the changes we let you know about earlier in the year, that fat-free flavoured yogurts, canned pasta in tomato sauce and instant mashed potato now have a small Syn value, and that some vegan-friendly products including canned jackfruit and plain/smoked seitan are now Free Food.

If you’ve spotted that one of your favourites is no longer a Healthy Extra, you’ll get plenty of ideas in group for Free Food and Healthy Extra alternatives. And if you’d love to adopt some of those changes from today – feel free!

From the way I read it it's only on SP days that the max syn allowance is 10. On EE days it's still max 15.

And I'm reading it that way too! :D

Even less reason to do SP now!

Tough on vegetarians cutting back on protein foods. I'll be having lots of broccoli and cottage cheese from now on. :)
  • Our consultant has posted it's 10 on a SP day so I assume (which is always dangerous!) that it's 15 if not doing a SP day.

Anyone else thinking SW are tinkering too much ?

Was planning on going running before work today but, for some reason, couldn't sleep so only had about 3.5 hrs so didn't go but will go tonight after giving the dog an extended walk.

Plan on having just a sandwich tonight but will be prepping tomorrow's stew as well.

They probably think it's time to do something as it's been a few years since they bought out EESP! I've been doing SW since 2010 which was when EE came in but the consultant also went through Red and Green days in the new member talk but said they were going to be phased out! As you've probably noticed I still do the odd Green (or even less often Red) days.

When my consultant originally talked about a new book in December I though it was more about the changes to syn values than anything else but seems it's a bit more fiddling!

You have a plan kathrynha. That's a good step to get you back on track. Go for it!:)

Re-reading the books is always a good recommendation oxford girl. Do you have a meal plan? I always think that and a shop to buy in all the right ingredients sets me up for the week. A food diary is good too. Other than the obvious benefit it somehow helps me not to go over syns if I know I'm going to have to write them down. :)

Ha! Ha! But he's right and I'm glad he said it. The ref was absolutely dire. I see that your friend Jose is blaming us for giving City an easy ride.:D

That looks a deliciously cheesy day denise. I haven't worked out my syns yet but I know I've loads left.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, half HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold chicken, fried veg, pickles
D: baked cod, SW chips, cauliflower steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus
    Syns: none planned

Jose will blame anybody but himself :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
