Morning all. Once again a slightly off plan weekend. I'm am really struggling with motivation at the moment and craving unhealthy stuff. Also being busy with hospital appointments, family and work doesn't help.

Todays plan:
Breakfast - porridge and raspberries
Lunch - ham salad
Dinner - Fajita mix and couscous
Snacks - sf jelly, fruit

HA - milk and cheese
HB - oats
Syns - sf jelly (0.5), salad dressing (1)

Completely off plan weekend (3 days including Friday!) Craved chocolate so badly... I gave in... :( Oh well, not much can be done about it, but it's a new day, on plan day!

kathrynha, I'm really struggling too.. Need to refocus, thinking of rereading my SW book, to remember why I started and try to go back to basics.

• Hi guys, Hope this is ok, I'm starting this week but I'm confused by yoghurts. I used Lancashire Farm Fat Free Natural Yogurt (sorry won't let me link it) from Aldi but I'm worried it's not free yoghurt.

Is it Syn free? What are the best free yoghurts?

Thank you :)

It's free. Plain natural fat free yogurts are all free. It's only syned if it's flavoured.

Hi Everyone
Is it too late to join this challenge? I'm aiming to lose 7lb by the end of the year - hoping this is realistic with everything coming up...
Anyway I'd love to join and get a bit of support

Welcome to you both. g2dtn (hope you don't mind your name being shortened, that's a long name!) 7lb is certainly doable by Christmas, it's only 1lb a week.

Lucylo Natural fat free yoghurts are still Free foods, it's flavoured yoghurt which needs syncing, but still very low syn just 0.5 or 1 syn a tub. I actually prefer quark to yoghurt as I find most yoghurts a bit sharp/sour!

Kathrynha and Oxford Girl - hope you both find get your mojo back soon and can get your heads back in the game. Good luck.

I'll be back later once I've worked out the syns on our lunch. I'm pretty happy as I've not gone too far over syns this weekend and still have 13 syns a day left until WI on Thursday morning:T.

• Wow Fatrab, that is an amazing loss, well done on getting to target.

Have a funny week this week, so had to be very organised for meals as I am out almost every night. So yesterday, I made a spag bol, a chicken curry & carrot & coriander soup, which hopefully will get the main part of meals sorted quickly, then just need to quickly cook speed and carbs if necessary. Hopefully, this will keep me covered on WI on Thursday.

For some reason, I have never really tuned into tonic water, so bought a bottle with lemon yesterday, think it may become my drink of choice!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

GTQ - well done on getting organised because you know you're going to be out most nights.

I never drink tonic water on it's own, I always put frozen lemon slices into it so it gets that lemon flavour.

DH dragged me out for another walk today, not quite as far and a bit easier than walking on the beach! Drove down into the next village and then walked to the next village after. About 1.5 miles but definitely walked faster today than yesterday. Will be having a rest tomorrow as DH has to go to his pre-diabetic course so I'll just be doing a bit of walking around the shops which is much easier, LOL!

Today's Green Day plan:

B - Cheese omelette; HM coleslaw (Cheese HEA1; 1 syn for 2 Tbs LTL mayo)
L - Soft cheese and courgette tartlet (Primula Light/parmasan - HEB1 - you're allowed cheese on a Green day for HEB:D) will have with more coleslaw (1 syn); pickled onions, pickled beetroot; HM syn free onion chutney
D - Mixed bean goulash & rice

HEA1 - 30g cheddar
HEA2 - 350ml skimmed milk
HEB1 - Primula Light 0.5/parmasan 0.5
HEB2 - nothing planned

Syns - LTL mayo 2; 25g Light Puff pastry 4.5; nothing else planned but still have syns available if needed

Has anyone else's consultant posted on their Facebook page about the changes which are coming when we get the new books in Christmas week?

Apparently on EE days it's changing to 2 HEAs and only 1 HEB! Also some things which are currently Protein are losing their P symbol, eg baked beans, peas and a few others.

Also come of the cheeses which are currently HEA will no longer be, these include all soft cheeses like Primula and Philly. There are also changes to the amount of milk you'll be able to have, eg Full Fat milk is increasing to 200ml; almond and rice milk are reducing to 400ml (that's a big drop from the current litre!). All sweetened milk will no longer be allowed as HEA.

There are also a few changes to HEBs, can't remember what at the moment but I know of the Kellogg cereal bars will no longer we HEB.

Changes to EESP include the same 2 HEAs and 1 HEB as EE but only a max of 10 syns a day!

You have a plan kathrynha. That's a good step to get you back on track. Go for it!:)

Re-reading the books is always a good recommendation oxford girl. Do you have a meal plan? I always think that and a shop to buy in all the right ingredients sets me up for the week. A food diary is good too. Other than the obvious benefit it somehow helps me not to go over syns if I know I'm going to have to write them down. :)

Ha! Ha! But he's right and I'm glad he said it. The ref was absolutely dire. I see that your friend Jose is blaming us for giving City an easy ride.:D

That looks a deliciously cheesy day denise. I haven't worked out my syns yet but I know I've loads left.:)

Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, half HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold chicken, fried veg, pickles
D: baked cod, SW chips, cauliflower steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus
Syns: none planned
