    Hello, fairy lights.

Happy birthday, bubbs. Enjoy your virtual cakes! At least you can have as much as you like,

    Well done, losers.

I’ve been out of kilter this week. I had an appointment on Friday with ophthalmologist and it was preying on my mind, all the more as it approached. Optician had picked up some things that suggested I might have AMD (age related macular degeneration), which can lead to blindness. I am happy to say that, after several tests and scans, everything seems to be in order. I’m expecting a gain tomorrow as there has been a LOT of comfort eating.

Team back to losing ways on Saturday☹

Welcome Treacle Toes. There is no problem with only needing to lose 1/2-1 stone. I only wanted to lose about a stone when I started but when on to lose 1.5 stone and then had to increase my weight after a visit to my GP who said I needed to put back at least 1/2 stone and preferably a bit more so I upped my target by 10lb which means if I drop to bottom end of target range I am still at a place where my GP is happy and I'm happy! I've been at target now for about 7 years (at least most of the time!).

Glad everything has turned out OK Greentiger. That must be such a relief.

Today's plan was originally going to be a Green day but as we didn't eat Friday night's dinner and had it last night it's shifted everything on the plan! Tomorrow will now be the Green day this week!

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs & spinach on toast (HEB)
L - Sweet potato & feta filo parcel; sweet potato chips & green beans
D - Roast chicken, roasted onions, peppers & carrots, roast potatoes & cauliflower (which needs using up!)

    HEA - milk as usual
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 2 x 20g filo pastry 6; 25g feta 3.5 = 9.5

Happy with 9.5 syns as I'm hoping to stick to no more than 10 syns a day until WI on Thursday morning.

    Delighted for you greentiger.:T

It can be harder/slower when you don't have much to lose treacle toes but you can definitely join a group if you need to. The discipline of going every week and being accountable can help focus. Alternatively you could try the 7 day menu of the SW website and ask on here and do it on your own, lots of people do.:)

I've got 39 syns left until Thursday so that shouldn't be a problem!:rotfl: Looking at my diary, although I have a couple of meals out in the next fortnight, the rest of this month is reasonably quiet. I'm really going to give it my best shot to get lower down my target range. Starting (hopefully) with at least a half pound off on Thursday.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: ham, fried LO veg, pickles
D: baked haddock, SW chips, cauliflower steak, tomatoes, green stuff (asparagus, mange tout, broccoli)
    Syns: Syrup 2.5

A couple of small changes for lunch! Added some spinach to the filo parcels and swapped the sweet potato chips for salad so extra Speed foods.

Also a couple of changes to dinner - have some cabbage to use up as well and also just remembered I bought some parsnips this week as well as I'm going to be making some root veg soup tomorrow so will roast one or two of those as well. If they don't get eaten they can still be added to the soup so won't be wasted.

You've got slightly more syns left than me Maman - I've got 35! but have used 9.5 today so that's OK.

Definitely not a million syns Stoke! What flavour did you have? Whatever it was it will be within syns as I think the highest is 11.5.

Chicken and mushroom. They are nice to be fair, just a bit crap really. Been having a tough few days and it was just comfortable to grab one instead of actually doing something proper.
